Seamless, painless upgrade from 825 version of nano variant - simply saved OTA file to SD Card, opened terminal, 'reboot recovery' and 'install' et voila.
Once completed, just had to re-enable developer options and enable the terminal app (not that it was needed right away but just restoring that function)

Excellent job once again Guest - much appreciated!

The 1128 firmware seems to be more stable. My box would lock up if I tried playing youtube in 4k, now I can no problem.
I would also sometimes get a gray bar at the bottom of the screen if I minimized youtube videos, I haven't had that issue yet.

The box also seems to run noticeably cooler. Before watching a few minutes of youtube and kodi would result in temps rising to 78-79c, now the highest I've seen it was like 74c. I would get the odd freeze in kodi and I'm wondering if it was temperature related. So far I haven't had any freezes.

My wifi still loses connection though, but I'm even more certain now that it's a hardware issue. I have a powerline ethernet adapter so no big deal I guess.

Was it a clean wipe, or were you able to keep all your files/apps intact?

        Thanks.

You can do a 'dirty' install, just installing the OTA update, without wiping the data. I like to clear the dalvik cache after the update, though. Maybe not necessary, but habit of mine from installing updates on my phones.

I did not do wipe - just the OTA update over the previous nano ROM
I would recommend doing the wipe for the initial switch to this ROM from OEM, but once it is in there, update to a later revision should go just fine without having to go from scratch - mine certainly did and it reboot looking pretty much exactly as it had before the update (i.e. Nova Launcher and all my apps as they were)

Use the burn package and one of the tools - the burn card maker is easiest to use, you don't need the USB cable, just create a bootable drive (SD Card or USB stick)

You selected the Burn Package IMG file, not the OTA zip, right?

Then there should be no need to use the reset button - just insert the SD Card with it powered off, then simply power it up - you have created a bootable disk, so it should boot directly from the SD Card

I'm already using an older version of the NANO ROM. I wanted to confirm the requirements to WIPE because I'm using SPMC with a specific plugin which is no longer available, so didn't wanna risk losing it

You should be fine without doing a wipe
However even if you did end up installing the full version with wipe, you could also first just do a back-up of your SPMC and reload it on even a virgin re-install of SPMC, even on a completely different box and system (I use the Kodi back-up program add-on all the time to clone my system to transfer to other boxes)
You should consider keeping a back-up of your SPMC regardless if you have a configuration that is valuable to you.

I selected burn package, I've made 2 usb stick, and only SD card allow me to jump in to the upgrade menu with android logo with red cross, I need to use the reset button, without this system stop on boot logo, is there any chance to write ROM from twrp?

Are you saying you get the Green Android Robot, but it just stops with a red-X and does begin installing the update?

I believe only one of the USB slots is bootable but if you have SD Card then best to use that anyway.

It won't cause any issue if you use reset button while powering up but my experience as I recall with the M8S-Pro+ was it should go straight to boot from the SD-Card regardless

So something must be wrong with your boot card make:

One thing I notice from your screen shot is that you selected "forcefully erase" when the recommended setting should be erase in normal - but really don't know if that is issue or not; but best just to follow recommended process that is proven to work.

I would suggest you start with a freshly re-formatted SD-Card and try again (if the card is freshly formatted it should not be necessary to select the check mark on Partition and Format)

The alternative, since you can boot into TWRP, is to use the OTA zip file and install that from TWRP and include a wipe
But I would recommend going with the Burn Card image install.

p.s. Have you confirmed that your device does NOT fall into the problem group (see note in RED on first post)

Can I use this firmware on my 2gb/16gb box?
If it's possible there's any guide for dummies?
                              hahaha

Use the Burn Card maker - follow the instructions from the Download site (plus the notes in the few posts immediately above)
