I'd not even heard of a AZERTY keyboard until a few days ago, but someone else mentioned it. Since I don't have the hardware, I'm kind of stumbling in the dark, but my plan is to include a bunch more keyboard layouts in the next build. Hopefully, that will address the problem.

Yes, along with the mouse mode fix for the IR remote.

Overall I liked the ROM. Thanks Magendanz.
    Couple of observations
    1. YouTube app skipping frame. Also I didn't like the new YouTube app. No option to choose resolution? Just personal preference.
    2. My Logitech keyboard doesn't work well. Many keys don't function. It used to work older ROMs. I know it's early days. Just want to let you know.

Yeah, the new YouTube app is definitely getting mixed reviews, but you can always sideload the old version. As for the keyboard, I'm going to add a bunch of keyboard layouts (.kl) and key character maps (.kcm) in the next build and hope that addresses the problem.

The new Youtube app is a disaster, its basically the webview app that's been around forever, which is normally found on smart tv, xbox, play station etc. Don't know what google are thinking here

They're just thinking they don't want to maintain a native build for Android, which costs them money. As mobile developers are learning, though, HTML 5 has its limitations and consumers aren't willing to use products written for the least common denominator platform.

Youtube is a gold mine, the money made from it is insane ($9bn 2016). its right up there with facebook, they should of just merged with phone/tablet app, one app two UI modes.

anyway can someone please tell me if ted tv crashes when playing video?

    Edit:

also, since the release of the new version the old one only seems to offer max res off 720 for all 60fps videos even on my MM build which done 1080 60 fine

Hi all, a couple of dumb questions:
          1) is this rom compatible with Beelink GT1 Ultimate ?
          2) can we access the device tree somehow to map additional scancodes?

I've a universal remote with some additional buttons, and i would like to use them with box...

          Best Regards,
          Michele Albanese

I believe so, since the underlying OEM firmware was pitched for both standard and ultimate SKUs, but my GT1 Ultimate is bricked and so I can't test it. There are three device trees included in the dtb partition, for 1G, 2G and 3G RAM configurations.

Well, yes...if you're glutton for punishment. In Nougat, the dtb's are in their own partition, and you'll need this tool to split and then rejoin them after extracting the partition from the .img file with Amlogic's Customization Tool. Once you have the individual dtb files, you'll need to convert those to dts, edit them in a text editor, and then repack them using the dtc command in Linux.

              Hello,

Please, what is the good TWRP to flash with sd for this rom? Is already installed?

And this wifi update https://1drv.ms/u/s!AoqocX31ecnXgZxQHpyvT_uueG8Tng is needed?

              Thank you...

It's already installed as the recovery partition in the .img file.

Hi everybody. Thanks Magendanz for this ROMS, it work like a charm
There are only few things that disturb me : I know my H96 Pro+ remote will never work, I activate the HDMI-CEC function and I find some trouble with it. At sleep exit or boot, my TV remote can't control my BOX : I must switch to TV (TNT/DVB-T) mode and then come back to HDMI 4 (port in which is plugged my box) to have the remote activate!
Did somebody have the same problem?

Yes, I have this ROM installed on my Beelink GT1 Ultimate. The AIDA64 diagnostic app detects the 3 GB of RAM as expected.

Aside from the very quiet navigation sound effects I mentioned earlier, I've noticed one other audio-related problem. The device's volume level resets to 13 out of 15 (about 87%) after every restart or power cycle. It would be nice to have these issues corrected in a future update.

I'll see what I can do, but I suspect that behavior is by design. Does it happen in the OEM Nougat firmware?

                      #45
I had been using Beelink's Android 6.0.1 firmware on my GT1 Ultimate before I switched over to this custom ROM. It isn't the answer to your question but I have used your Marshmallow Android TV ROM on standard Beelink GT1 boxes and those have neither of these audio issues.
