my tx9 keeps getting freeze ups only in kodi, even with the firmware Tumancheg posted, anyone with the September firmware available to share, since with the december and the november one i keep getting freezes.

Can you tell us where you get this ROM from? It's over 1GB in size which is quote different than previous ROMS (594MB 20171101).

Your ROM is not listed on tanix's website either.

I just installed the new December firmware on my TX9 Pro and it's working better than the November one.
I used AMLOGIC Burning Tool. Worked flawlessly.

I'm still trying to install an Android TV close experience, any idea how to do it?

Just saw the 20171222 new firmware on tanix's website. I am still running the stock firmware and pretty satisfied with it.

Is there any benefit flashing this latest firmware? Thanks much for your sharing thoughts.

I did not know the difference. Security updates are still May. Maybe if I stayed on the stock firmware I would not have crashing plex when using the android player option.

It is recommended to flash 20171222. There are some eMMC voltage adjustments...

But if you find your box working well, maybe it is not mandatory.

Basically to have a better remote friendly UI, because the one that comes preinstalled with the box doesn't look so good. Also, to use a Netflix modded version to get the remote friendly one.

I've tried editing the build.pro but it just soft bricks itself after restarting. Only to save with the AmLogic USB Burning Tool.

I'm going to keep trying, though.

Can anyone do a full backup using TWRP and share it?
I have already reflashed this box many times. But I can not get a stable job.
A November firmware did not work, December also refuses to work. I can not add a Google account. All I see is a revolving screen saver, which then freezes.
Support service Tanix in Skype after sending me a link to the December firmware was silent at all.
As a result, I have now not a working box.

Sorry to hear your experience. I have not installed TWRP in my box because I am afraid I could brick it. I am still running the stock firmware and everything seems to work just fine and smooth.

I bought TX9 pro to replaced my bricked Xiaomi box because it was bricked when I flash firmware to it. I tend to be very careful now when flashing new firmware to any TV box.
