[QUOTE=Batfink32;85308ownload 1.5 and 1.6 Roms. Go into the ROM folder in 1.6 and find the Kernel file. Replace the Kernel file in 1.5 with the Kernel file you have just found from 1.6 then flash the 1.5 ROM as normal. When its frlashes, check that you have the #49 Kernel in the "About Tablet" section in Android settings.[/QUOTE]
Thank you so much.. I ll giveit a try hope it works ..

I'm uploading a new system.img with the tun.ko installed.
I know why it isn't there. I did a 3066 ROM the other day and commented out the command to copy it over. I forgot to change it when I did this ROM.
All of my 3188 ROM's should have tun.ko installed by default...if I remember to edit the script back...sorry.
I will post a link as soon as the upload is done.Randy

You can just flash the kernel by unchecking everything except kernel.img on the flash tool. If you are just flashing the kernel, don't erase IDB. All of your system, data and apps should stay the same.
You only need to erase IDB if you are flashing the whole ROM.
If you flash a new system.img...I would just flash the whole new ROM for better results.Randy

Thanks Randy for this great job, again
I installed the 1.5 but using the 1.6 kernel and really it seems to be snappier and more responsive, most of all I have now been able to connect to my company VPN service to read mail for my work... Great!
Thanks!

Actually I tried 1.5 system with 1.6kernel as suggested but something was wrong felt better than 1.6 kernel but switched back to 1.5 with kernel and system same... so probably will be waiting for another real sdk 2.0 system and newver kernel.. so far 1.5 is the best for me..

IMEI
I have 1.6 kernel and 1.5 system, but not sure if it's any better. One thing I noticed is that the IMEI info is missing so I doubt if I can use 3G for data. Has anybody tried 3G functionality? I wonder if Randy can build a ROM that would restore IMEI info? Just a thought, otherwise the only way to restore it is to flash stock ROM.
