I just upgraded to the latest stock rom from the original lq stick that came with the device upon initial release .

I didn't have any issues with the remote. It's the old type and I have a wireless aurmouse also connected.

Had some issues getting voice search to work correctly within apps but solved that by changing default search after installing Google search.

Onscreen keyboard doesn't work well though so playing around with gboard vs lean keyboard or trying to install others.

Haven't checked wifi though

Then I saw mention of new LB boxes (V02xx) and now LS is being mentioned ???

Someone needs to do a compatibility chart ...

Yes, this is getting TOTALLY confusing........

I just installed this >> M8S_PRO_L-NHG47L-20180417.150752.V0213.IMG << of my "L" boxes with model ending in ** LQ ** (according to MR. Magendanz, the "Q" stands for Qualcomm WiFi module. Since this firmware dated April 17, it must be meant for the newer boxes with a different WiFi module. Everything seems to work, EXCEPT WiFi, as expected. Bluetooth however does work, along with the Ethernet adapter.

The only thing different that I see off hand, is that they support a couple mores services.

Microsoft Playready DRM is now supported

CENC ClearKey is also supported. However, I have not idea what apps need or use these two additional services.....

One thing I did notice, I can no longer install HBOGo, like I could on the prior firmware using the "TV Apps Repo".

Downloaded the >> M8S_PRO_L-NHG47L-20180417.150752.V0213.IMG << file posted by Alloy1124 and burned it to microSD card using the BootcardMaker v2.0.0.2 that Magendanz has posted on his mod link. Inserted the microSD card into my "L" box with the model ending in "LQ", and using a terminal emulator inside Android, I typed "reboot update". After a few minutes, the box booted into Android with the Bluetooth Remote pairing screen. Reading that others were able to get past that screen using their Android phone, I gave it a try. My Android phone paired with my "L" box very quickly after I was prompted to type in the code that was displayed on my TV screen. I tried all kinds of different button pushes on my phone, even got past the remote pairing screen, but I could not get the box activated. After several different attempts using my phone, I gave up and used my Bluetooth Voice remote that came with my other "L" box with the Bluetooth Voice remote.

One thing I learned when pairing my Bluetooth Voice Remote with different devices, I have to remove the battery for it to reset.

Anyway, using my Bluetooth remote from my other box, it paired right away after removing and replacing the battery in the remote. So, I got a clean install with the April 17 firmware. The Bluetooth Voice Remote even works with the Google Assistant, so I can ask her what time it is, or the weather and she answers me (more than I can say for my grandkids). I did check to see this firmware update enabled the "Microsoft Playready DRM", but it did NOT. From what I read, the newer "L" boxes have that supported, but this firmware did not do it on my box, perhaps that is a hard coded function.

Edit: I just checked again, and for whatever reason, now "Microsoft Playready DRM" shows that it is SUPPORTED. Of course, I don't know what apps use that Microsoft Playready DRM.

Edit 2: As Supermal noted, this firmware kills the WiFi on the LQ boxes, but I don't use WiFi on any of my boxes.

Has anyone been able to get HDMI RAW audio passthrough working with DTS-HD and TrueHD with stock or any custom rom?

Just tried a 1080p x265 and it played without issue in Kodi and in VLC.

Yes most of mine were, and no doubt still are, fine but I came upon a few that needed the Magendanz version to run smoothly.

My understanding is new rev is LB and old is LQ. Should be at the end of the barcode on the bottom of the box I think it was (I chucked my box).
