I have the first revision I believe .I got it when it first came out last year.

Have never updated the firmware.

What's the latest stock firmware I saw a thread that included one from late last year but then saw someone mention a 2018.

What are everyone's thoughts on it .I have a old model remote so I hear I need to pair my mobile to get past the screen .

I also have never updated these boxes before .Is the ota method with the micro SD card safe? Do I have to wipe data?

I was quite happy using the v09xx OEM FW as supplied, but then found some newer videos, h265, wouldn't play (jerky pixellated smeary rubbish). Loaded latest v09xx Magendanz ATV ROM and all good, playing smoothly.

Just tried a 1080p x265 and it played without issue in Kodi and in VLC.

LQ revision ? Is that the original boxes ?? Where are you getting your info please ?

My understanding is new rev is LB and old is LQ. Should be at the end of the barcode on the bottom of the box I think it was (I chucked my box).

there is some hope that HDCP 1.4 will be upgrade to 2.2 for 4k VOD , or it's hardware limit?

Guest to bypass the bluetooth remote part, of the first setup you can pair your phone, many users have reported doing that, Im not sure if they downloaded the remote app first or just paired by bluetooth... they say that the box is looking for BT devices wen you are on that screen

This is just the TWRP backup packaged as an .img file, using the original bootloader and dtb images. The second is that same 20180316.143701.V0213 OEM image with the 20180417.150752.V0213 incremental update applied, which patched the boot and system partitions. It boots on my original M8S Pro L, but I can't get past the voice remote pairing screen because I don't have one of the new remotes.

Just to confirm, these are for the original "L" boxes? It won't lose the voice control?

As best as I can tell, there seem to be only 2, and both are updated less frequently than stock.

I have always found the Magendanz ROMs to be better than the supplied OEM that they were based on.

If only the wifi module is not working that's ok for me.
Too bad that it seems only Stock firmware for new boxes.
