I tested Netflix directly on this ROM and it worked for me. No hangs like old ROM.
    Hoabycsr, did you try it?

I am currently using the previous finlees ROM with my CX-919, but have noted that there are some queries about heat problems and slow wifi...

So, I would like to know before flashing this new ROM 1.5 if these little problems (Heat and WIFI) are true or if it's better to wait for a Fix?

Some users also have mentioned, that the 800 version can raise the temperature of the CX-919 and that the 1080 version is a little slow, so which version is better and safely to use, the 720 one?

      Thanks for your help!!
Running the RAM at 800mhz will increase bandwidth and performance at the cost of a little more heat.

720p will always be faster than 1080p because the GPU doesn't have to render as many pixels.

The choice between 720p and 1080p depends on the quality of the contains you wish to watch.

720p with the RAM clocked at 800 MHz will produce the highest rate of frames rendered per second.

Interestingly, the RAM is actually under clocked by default, since the RAM is factory rated at 800Mhz.

System hung, unresponsive, mice disappeared, dead. Had to unplug the power and reboot.

It is hard for me to describe exactly what happened.
I went back to Finless 1.4 with 1080P kernel and CWM recovery 6.0.3.1. That is the most stable so far.
I can try any kernel or other fixes if you suggest.

Any one has issues on 1.5 other than blank flash, system hung, slow wifi (mine is fine)?
          Nice team work.

Reported issues were using stock 1080P kernel.

I will try the kerneljjh-800mhz-1080p.img or kerneljjh-800mhz-720p.img, may be all of them later.

Thanks rceccleston for your info about RAM speed and 720 + 1080 ROM versions!

Any information about WIFI... Its true that it's working slower than in previous Finless ROM version 1.4?

                Overcloacked Kernel

                Hi Bob

Can you post the kernels you have working with this rom but with cpu overclocked. There are a ton of them posted for the Tronsmart T428. Same ram, gpu combinations but with also some cpu combinations.

                Thanks
                rdavidowski

PS. Have been doing some testing playing .mkv files over my lan using wifi and usb to Ethernet adapter. And definitely there is a problem with the wifi. No interruptions with the Ethernet adapter and serious stuttering with wifi. Same happens with finless 1.5 rom and new fixed kernels on Tronsmart T428. Put any other non-fixed kernel and issue disappears. So there is something wrong with the wifi in these kernels.

Please someone find a fix for HULU Plus. "Daily driver" after Hulu fix.

                  Screen Mirroring

                  Hi

Has anybody got Screen Mirroring working? I tried with my Samsung Galaxy S4 and the cx-919 comes back saying that It was unable to enable screen mirroring. Because HDCP is not supported by the connected device. I am pretty sure that the Galaxy S4 that comes by default with the screen mirroring applications on it's setting has to support HDCP. So is this really supported?

                  thanks

I have had various wifi issues with many roms but this one is fine for me. I speed test 28mbit with it. I find the antenna very picky about direction.

                      random freeze

Thank you guys for your work ...

                      CX-919 stick:

                      A have tried the following:
                      boot1080.img with kernel_simon1080.img, and kerneljjh-400mhz-1080p.img, 4gb parameter file.

Both gave me random freeze where I had to unplug and plug back to get it work.
It is really random, can not find any particular activity that caused it.

I flashed hoabycsr's ROM this one:
                      http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...ll=1#post88557

boot1080.imag and cx919-jjhkernel-400mhz-1080p.img no freeze since than. (2 days)

I do not know if there is any difference.

I used strauzo's nexus multiwindow ROM and MK908 720p kernel before with no problem.

                      Any thoughts ....

                        make some changes like this:
place # for the internal sdcard.
change the mounting for your usb hd in something like this:
                        dev_mount flash /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/platform/usb
(did not test this just thinking out loud)

                        Regards,
                        Mark

Since the DDR RAM is rated for 800Mhz (2x400Mhz) , would your 800Mhz kernel best equate to the manufacturer's stock ratings or does the 400Mhz kernel mean 400x2=800Mhz?

What is the clock rate of the GPU?

                            Thank you in advance.

I need a little help. I have havent been able to flash the rom it keeps saying "device can not do switch ,because it is not msc device" I have been holding the reset button down when plugging it in and the flash tool is identifing it as a rockchip device and the alternate flash tool is green not pink. The blue light comes on during boot though in the faq it says that it shouldn't. Could it be because I prevously flashed my mx-2...you mentioned that we would have to install the newer driver but it's not mentioned again until the end of the faq. Any ideas what I need to do?

If the box in RK batch tool is green then your already in flash mode!
Quit trying to use switch and just flash the ROM.

Sometimes this can happen with a bad flash. From that point on it will just go into flash mode.
