Help?
Hi guys,
It took me a while to register, but I finally got it to post.
I have a couple of questions. I'm not new to flashing roms, but for mobile phones (galaxy s3, s4, nexus etc). However, I just received my cx-919 and wanted to flash finless 1.5.
So I downloaded the whole package, included a readme file.
The thing is, as it comes to flashing an android stick, i'm a complete noob!
For example: what's the best combination to flash?
-2 gig app space would be enough for me.
- Simon 1080 kernel (my tv is fullhd, and simon sounds good? Or is the jjh 400 or 800 better? What's the difference?)
- Boot 1080 is I guess most logic to do for my tv?
OK, when I figure that out, i'm curious how to use the flash tool itself: Do I use the tab Flash, NFS or Ram? And how do I change parameters? And how do I know what parameter is fine?
First time I rooted my phone and flashed it, was hard, but this is really hard for a newbie haha....
I really appreciate all the effort you guys put into this, to maximise the stuff you can do with your stick!
But can someone give me a more complete and easy flash readme?
Many thanks and appreciation!
Lennart

watch this video it should get you close. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixBdmYOYodM 720p is always going to run faster and be less choppy than 1080p since 1080p takes more processing. 4GB partition is a good start. I've finally settled on kerneljjh-800mhz-720p.img. The 800mhz smoothes a lot of video. I use my CX919 as a slingplayer with the DishNetwork app so the 800mhz really helps. I noticed that the BT doesn't work for me on the JJH kernels. So make sure to test your USB and BT stuff out after you flash your ROM.Tronsmart R28 PRO with wasser-2.0.7-beelink-r89-rk3288 ROM and MX Player

Where is RemoteControl.apk ?
Thanks Bob.
I am a noob. After a 3 hr stuggle I finally managed to flash this ROM. The problem was that flash tool would not detect the stick. Was trying the 2 USB ports in the front. Got a tip to try other USB ports. Tried the one behind and voila.
Bob, you should add this bit to the README. Will help many a poor souls like me.
Now coming to my question, where is RKRemoteControl.apk? I couldnt find it in the Zip. Nor is anything mentioned about it in the README.
How do I remote control it using my android phone?
And also, I am not seeing my Picasa pictures in Gallery like it does on my Android phone.
I didn't see an option for photos under google account. How do I turn it on?
-Thanks
Nikhil

The ROM is now working great for me.
I had wifi issues to begin with.
Wifi router was in a different room but both my laptop and nexus 4 showing 4 mbps of download.
However cx-919 was only getting 400 kbps from the same spot.
Tried changing the channels and all but there was no improvement.
For a second I thought if it is some hardware issue.
Then I moved the router closer to the stick and it also started getting speeds of 4 mbps.
Many thanks Bob.

Wifi Issues
I've tried all 720p kernels included in bobs download for this ROM and I'm having the same issue.
Wifi signal is always strong, 54mbs and higher, and somehow the connection times out and no app can connect to the internet. I'm having problems streaming video over the network too. I connect to another AP and still same issue, shows good signal but everything times out and can't connect.
