CX919 - 4.2.2 - Finless ROM 1.5

A month ago i got two tronsmart CX919's (2GB/8GB) delivered from GB and succesfully installed them with the Finless Rom 1.5 using the default settings. Everything is working fine.

This weekend i received a new order with two tronsmart CX919's (2GB/8GB) from GB, installed them with the Finless Rom 1.5 using the default settings but now i get a message on my TV: No HDMI signal.

I reflashed the cx919's but it didn't solve the problem.
Tried to flash to other rom's from FT/GB but still getting the messagë: No HDMI signal.

I have another CX919 left with the stock rom and this one boots normally and gives an HDMI signal.

After reading this thread i tried the solution of Spifey but i got no luck.
I also read in this thread something about another Nand manufacturers.

Does anyone has an advice how to solve this problem?

Tucker973, i can confirm that the neomode rom is working fine! i also used the default settings.
I hope this issue can be solved within the Finless 1.5 rom or the Finless 1.6 rom where Finless Bob is working on.

OK so it seems there is a CLONE or a new version of the CX-919. Just like the MK908 V3!

We need a ROM dump of this new device since it is clear no stock ROM exists! If I get that, I can cook you guys something better

I added two photo's of the Tronsmart CX-919's i received last weekend from Geekbuying.
If i can help to make a ROM dump for you i would be pleased. I still have a CX919 from GB i didn't touched.
I have no experience yet with ROM dumping. Only with CWM Nandroid backups.

Just for a check i installed the 1.6 rom on my cx919 and there is no difference, my tv gives: No HDMI signal.

Is it worthwhile for me to provide dump data from the device I've been messing with? I mean at this point it's pretty far from stock, obviously . But if there's anything I can do to help sort things out, I will. My device is identical to the one Martininio posted in looks. I can post details from the s/n sticker tomorrow if that helps.

As an aside, I want to note that I'm more than happy to drop Bob and the other devs donations once my payday comes around. I have to say the support between Bob and Neo and the rest of the community has been excellent. There's been a lot of 1-on-1 troubleshooting, and I think this is one of the most responsive and helpful communities I've seen in the last several years of working with Android (and, previously, Blackberry) dev communities. Thanks again for your hard work, I'll be messing with various combos and settings with the 1.6 ROM.

dump_image kernel /sdcard/kernel.img

I get the error message: dump_image not found.

Do you know the exact command i must perform to create the dump files?

Before you issue the dump_issue command.
Type this in.
cd /sdcard/Download
dump_image kernel /sdcard/kernel.img
...

Then start running your commands.
I guess /system/bin isn't in the path for some reason.

Display Blinking/flashing Problem with CX-919

Hi,

This is my first post to freaktab, but I am having problems with my new CX-919.

My problem is with the stick causing the screen to Blink or Flash randomly, but frequently. I've managed to isolate under what condition that this can be reproduced.

Here is what I have found:

The Stock 720p (cx-919 0715 update)
The Factory 1080P (CX919-RK3188-4.2-1080P)
The Finless 1.5 ROM (cx919_422_finless15) on both 720p and 1080p 400Mhz memory configurations experience the blinking problem. I tried each of the included kernels at 400Mhz and all have the same issue blinking at the HDMI Mode 1920X1080p both 50 and 60 hertz.

Basically, all roms on this stick (the one I purchased) will make the display flash randomly when you set the HDMI Resolution to

1920x1080P both htz settings.

I tried on 2 separate LCD computer monitors: HP 27" (HP 2710m) and a Dell 25" LCD - I don't have the monitor model with me.

If you leave it on the 1280x720p, the stick is stable without blinking on all Roms

So, my question really comes down to can anyone else reproduce this flashing or whatever you want to call it?

I have another arm, iMito MX1 that works fine with Finless 2.0 rom (1080p kernel and 1920 resolution) with the same monitors.

If my stick is simply defective, I'll get it replaced if the issue is isolated to my unit.

The flashing is not going to be a ROM. Your having some hardware issues. TO me this sounds like a bad cable. Trust me the cables they ship with this are hit and miss!
Second thing to look at is power! Many here will tell you about stability and other issues if you don't have good power AND the CX-919 needs it trust me!
If that doesn't do it then you may have got a bad unit.
