Maybe your having a power issue?

Again I am not saying the stock ROM is great. It's just the ONLY stock ROM I have seen with frame skipping fixed out of the box. I am going to investigate if it is kernel or something in system.

As there a good small 1080p video I can download to test 1080? All my movies are 720p.

whether it's good or not, i don't know, but if you use Google with "mkv 1080p test" you will find a lot of samples like this:

It has 40 mbs, it plays smooth on my note 2 with the same mali 400 gpu with bs video player.

MK908v1, iMito QX1 are the same as your MK908ii.

Please try the application program "Screen Adjuster".

on my note 2 ( malli 400 gpu) this file plays very smooth with bsplayer ( hardware decoding).Bsplayer plays aac audio without needing external codecs.
I remember that also with mxplayer it played weel in hrdware decoding

Hi Guys and Girls,

I am new to android TV sticks and this forum but thought that I would share my experience with the MK908 II. The device seems very stable to me and has only rebooted a couple of times in the last 10 days or so but never when playing movies. It plays 1080p videos no problem with MX player with no reboots but I have had mixed results with XBMC version 13. It plays 720p movies OK but stutters and struggles with 1080p while I cannot get version 12.2 to play even 720p files OK even with the advancedsettings.xml file so I assume I am doing something incorrectly, any link or suggestions would be good but I am probably going to go back to version 13. WiFi is perfect, I stream all my movies over my home network, and I have absolutely no issues with it, good speed and not a single drop out that I have noticed. I am really impressed with the device and would recommend to any one interested in android TV sticks. There is an annoying issue with chrome which seems to always respond with a press hold rather than a single click!

I bench marked the device at 18200, which seems good looking at scores on this forum.

I am using RKremote to control the device but am thinking about getting a hardware remote, does anyone have any suggestions? I am hoping that getting a dedicated remote will solve the problem were I have to plug in a usb mouse to wake the device up after it goes to sleep so that I can use RKremote.

I am with you. I think this is the best stick "off the shelf" right now. A better ROM will surely improve things

I am currently looking to buy an android TV stick. Is MK908 the best choice? Is the WiFi so poor that you would recommend splashing the extra cash for a 908ii?
