Now if someone could point me in the direction of a good copy of xbmc, cause I've tried a couple in the modded link (first post) but all of the ones I've downloaded so far seem to have issues (frame skipping etc). I'd be very grateful.

Rom works great on MK808b, Thanks !!

Got XBMC 13 Alpha 8 working properly:

    - Some addons give me errors but still work
    - No need for stagefright tweaked advanced .xml

You can also try your luck with one of these:

ENTER/submitting key does not work on stock browser/AOSP browser
ENTER key works on everything else only not with the standard browser

      h t t p://w w w.example.o r g ---> ENTER (nothing happens)

Chrome browser does not have the issue
Any suggestions how to fix this ?

      Thanks

I believe this isn't a problem specific to this ROM. I wasn't able to figure out a way to fix it.

I am using the digitop walkman release and the enter key works fine in stock browser.

I am having the same issue.
But the ROM seems great. My personal "benchmark" is the performance of SONIC 2 (Genesis) on RETROARCH, and it runs insanely smooth, video and sound all perfect!

I found another issue though and was hoping anybody might have a clue: An AdBlocker was included in the ROM, but it messed up some online-video-streaming, that could not work with adblocker active ("adf.ly" for example in my case). so I deleted the adblocker (i know, maybe that was stupid), but there still seems to be some adblocking active somewhere. I have no clue where or how to find it, and now i can't stream old series anymore. Could anybody help me in the right direction?

I registered for this question, but I have been browsing and following this forum for about a month now regularly (since i got my mk808b), and I have to say, you guys are all awesome! thanks for all the great info I found here - allready saved my device once after it was stuck in a bootloop. I was short of trashing it, but with your help, I am really happy now with it, so thanks for all!

PS: after writing this, I also found that the "shutdown" button in the menu bar (and in the app) doesn't seem to work properly. Anyone else having this problem?

Put this hosts file in system/etc (replace the old one and set same permissions as before), reboot and you sohuld be fine.

Use the reboot app included to shut down the device in the meantime.

It does not work the same way as in other roms. short pressing it puts the device into sleep mode, long pressing shows the power menu

I see. I didn't know that, nor think of that. I'll give it a try once I am back at home.
By the way: shutting down the device via app or the button in the menu (e.g. on finless 2.1) always seemd to do "something", like closing apps and unmounting files (maybe?), but the mk808b was never really turned OFF, is that right? I mean, the blue power light always stays on, as long as it is connected to the powersupply, correct? I always wait for the screen to go black and then unplug it, is that ok? or do I have to wait until it kills the power itself somehow?

Regarding the earlier answer about the host file to pass the adblocker, thanks for that one too. will be checked tomorrow, too.

I guess, nobody knows any solution about the keyboard problem?
thanks everybody for your great help!

Somewhere on this forum I read that it may not be good to unplug the power while the device is in the middle of a task, etc. so I think using the on-screen "Power off" button first before disconnecting the power is the correct think to do. I was just using the Reboot app to shutdown (like mo123 suggested) since I was having the same problem as you (assumed it was a bug), but now after reading phinc's post, it all makes sense. Seems like the "Sleep" feature really doesn't do anything for the MK808, so actually isn't necessary.

As for AdFree and adfly, I was having the exact same problem. I google searched and found that it's as easy as clicking the "Restore" button in the app:

When you open adfree it says restore/return to former hosts or something like that.
Think it`s the 2nd item in top right corner of the menu. Click on that and the former settings will be applied and adds will be visible again.
Having uninstalled the app might prevent this solution from working now though, so if it doesn't work, you can go ahead and try to switch the hosts file. I also read this, but not sure if it's true:

When you update the hosts file, you should reboot to clear the DNS cache.
The app actually works very well, aside from preventing adfly links.

thanks a lot. I still have to try the solution with the host file, but if it is that easy as you say, it sounds good too. Too bad I already deleted it. Maybe I'll put it back on, then try this solution, and if it shouldn't work, I'll use the host-file-solution.

Thank you guys. Your really helping out a lot!

                          3D Performance in Antutu Benchmark

Hi Guys, one more question: I keep reading about everybody (well, lots of people) running the Antutu benchmark and receiving the EPIC CITADEL Animation at 25 FPS. Before I was using Finless 2.1 at 1080p, now I am on this one, but on both occasions, Antutu score was at around 12500 (approx.), but the citadel animation only ran at 5-8 FPS.Am I doing something wrong, or is there some trick to get such fast results?

I would also like to know about the Epic Citadel.
I think most people are using overclocked kernels and mk808 devices.

Epic Citadel should not run at 5-10fps, even on stock. I have tested it out on this rom and it is the same results as most roms.

Even on a stock 1080p kernel you should be getting in the low to mid 20's. It could be a hardware issue, for a better reference check out thread here.

Great job on the firmware, I think it's currently the best rom to use.

                              Two points:

                              1) Hide bottom bar is not needed, as this is 4.1 and can auto hide once in apps in the settings.

                              2) If anyone wants a more 'stock' version of this firmware, once installed - delete data in CWM to get rid of all extra apps which this firmware comes with.
                              Currently Using:
2 x Nvidia Shield TV | MiniMX III
                              Retired Devices:
                              MiniMX III-II | Mk808b Pro | Mk808b Plus | Raspberry Pi 1 + 2 | UBOX R89 | MK808 | MK808b | CS008 | X1 4K (rk3288_809) | CYX_809III | Ouya | CX-919 | S82 Plus | Tronstmart R68

5-8 fps on epic citadel are really really bad. Maybe a app running in background is using the cpu?
I tested this rom without (29 fps) and with overclocked (kizs v4) kernel (36 fps).
But so far, nothing compares to digitop walkman 2.1 with a epic citadel score of 39 fps on stock kernel and 50 fps on kizs v4 kernel.
