I don't see the mean of this tests; if we can not try them.
It is a reality that 2dark4u not gonna release the final vs. For him it's a dead project...after 7 months.
Maybe if someone like you(betatesters) make a new thread with this "new" kernel....i think we all can apreciate the "unfinished" work of Alex.
And ho knows, maybe someone can finish this project.

Fast & Stable ROM (MK808original)

I did some tests with the "2dark4u BETA2" kernels.

1080p kernel : antutu - 12850 average score 4 benchmarks
720p kernel : antutu - 13300 average score 4 benchmarks

This ROM feels very snappy and fast with original kernel and custom kernels. I use this ROM for 2 days now and I think this is very stable and fast.

MK808 with standard cooling does not overheat and when benchmarking a couple of times in a row the score does not decrease when the MK808 is warm. The scores are very consistent.

After I flashed this rom with CWM I did a factory reset/format to get rid of all the russian software.

There is 1 strange thing : When using the standard Android browser, the ENTER button on your keyboard/flymouse or wathever you use does not work in de addressbar. When using other browsers or other apps this problem does not occur.
A friend of mine also encountered this problem with this ROM on a MK808B with standard digitopMOD kernel.

I did not login to freaktab for quite a while and I was surprised to see a stack of requests for sharing the 2dark4u BETA2 kernels.

I get your frustration but I am not the person to share this kernels, first of all the 1.5 BETA1 & BETA2 kernels are highly experimental and therefore not suitable for sharing and second, : The 1.5 BETA 2dark4u kernels are the work of Alex (2dark4u) from allminipc. When asked for the testers team we all agreed on not sharing this kernels.
It is for me also a long time ago I got some response from 2dark4u so I am also a little "frustrated" that the BETA 1.5 suddenly stopped just after the release of BETA2 1.5. In may of this year there was some talking about releasing BETA3 (final) but I never got any answers after this date.

In kizs and omegamon kernels, ise there only th CPU overclocked or also the GPU like in 2dark4u?

im searching some info about it; i saw that gpu is scaled on cpu performance on kizs but nothing ore for the moment.

btw; long time ago in december 2012, lewy already posted about firmware "infected" v3 , a fw for cube u30gt (i have this one too but prefered "decontaminate" fw). And he used with kizs kernel and the mk808 was already over 12300 antutu score.

Some of his kernel features include:
-CPU speeds from 252mhz to 1608 mhz. Overclocks up to 1800mhz through apps like SETCPU (WARNING: ENSURE PROPER COOLING IF USING 1.6 GHZ AND UP FOR PROLONGED PERIODS).

• Added additional Governors (SmartassV2, InteractiveX, and SavagedZen). This kernel defaults to SmartassV2 which should be fine for most users.
• REMOVED Rockchip's built-in limiter that caps OnDemand and Interactive governors to keep things below 1 ghz for most of the time. This means that you do not have to use the performance governor just to get speeds above 1 ghz anymore! (for a description of the original problem see here: http://www.armtvtech.com/armtvtechfo...&start=20#p315). This is more of an FYI since the governor defaults to SmartassV2. But if you still want to use OnDemand/Interactive, you know that it'll work as supposed to.
• HDMI driver improvements to fix potential any black screen or no signal issues.
• Increased MALI-400 GPU upper limits from default of 133 mhz to 266 mhz to 133mhz to 400 mhz.
• Things like I/O improvements, etc, but I believe 1) to 5) are the critical ones for 99% of the folks who are interested in using this custom kernel.

Concerning the bug sound with omegamoon kernel, here the finless soluce

init.d scripts run as root. That is the way I implemented it in init.rc
So you do not need the su command.

However, init.d scripts run very early in the boot process and I am pretty sure wirting to /sys/ will not hold. It will write but later during boot, get over written by kernel and other init processes.

For instance. In this thread I explained to a user how to change audio device on boot.

As you see I had to recommend using script manager APP as this script would not work in init.d. It would change the audio device OK but then when the OS came up fully it would get overwritten.

Since script manager is an APP, it runs scripts on boot AFTER the OS fully boots which works well.

So try the script using script manager APP.

I would need to get a dmesg and logcat dump to see whats going on.

As far as getting the default audio on boot you will need to make a script.
Go get Script Manager from google play.
In script manager make a new script called audio.sh

Put this is the script

#!/system/bin/sh
# set sudio
setprop persist.audio.currentplayback 0
#end

Now save the script to /system or /data or sdcard whatever you like.
click on the script and set the icons at the top to SU and boot.

Now this will run on every boot and set the default audio to HDMI.

For the rest, i know about this overclocked kernel, but i dont know if like kizs v4.1 the kernel is already overcloking and you dont need to use setcpu to change cpu range; or like 2dark and you need setcpu to upscale the cpu range.

And yes my mk808 is modded with amd64x2 copper rad on both side without fan; i've just made some quick test; not really a long one with many apk or stress test.

This sunday will my mk808 sunday !!!

Thanks....we will wait for your test. I reccomend to you setcpu for changing the frequency of the cpu.
Omegamoon is an overclock kernel, so maybe is an heat problem for freezes on your machine.....do you have an modded device?

If omegamoon works...can you help us to make the script for the sound in script manager?

i tried the omegamoon kernel but i had the bug sound problem, bug you can easely solve , finless gives the soluce somewhere and i already made before with finless 1.6 or 1.7.

but i remember to have force close after short time without any cpu change; i dont know if this kernel directly change the cpu setting or if you need some cpu apk to change the power range.

anyway i will retry all the kernel this week and add the kizs v4 (kizs v4.1 hangs my mk808) with both batch of this rom the august one and september one

Someone tested this with omegamoon kernel.... i'm actually on 2dark4u but i want to push it to the limits(modded mk808 with heatsink and fans).

Yesterday Ive installed MK808B_digitopMod_MINIX_NEO-G4_port (0730) _Sep2013 at my MK808. First Ive istalled FW using CWM than kernel 2dark4u 720p. Iam verry impressed it works very fast and smooth. I am watching movies using mx player, archos video player and XBMC latest nightlies.

I registered to be able to post....i have to say that this is amazing. I did have some issues installing to find the correct kernel to work with my mk808 and wanted to share my experience.

So what i did was do a fresh install of Finless's rom 1.7c. I had to do this to get the update.zip to install and get cwm on my stick.

I then installed this rom as instructed.

After install i took the same 1.7c and only installed the kernel.

Boom smoking fast.... wireless is awesome. XBMC nightly from Sep27 works well. I have one HD it stutters on.

Ok guys.

I've installed this on my Mk808 and the only word i can say is : Amazing.
It is super fast and smooth.
I've flash 2dark4u kernel and do some tweaks with pimp my cpu and seeder.

Antutu 12.800

Xbmc (19.02) works fine.

I installed Sfrtv apk but i cant view channels because i don.t have an account.


This rom is amazing.
