Minix Neo X7 - Finless 1.6 ROM - with overclock and frame skipping fix!

My X7 arrives tomorrow, is ok just to flash this rom over stock.... or is needed to do something else before/after, like root?

I use CifsManager to mount SMB shares, than I can use MX Player.

Does K700 work fine with this kernel or you have to remap keys?
Pinch to zoom works?
I wonder to buy k400 or k700, do You know which one is better?

K700 works fine pinch to zoom I dont no.
Dont use it havent tried it...

Erase nand. Then flash new rom.

-mount smb, nfs scripts in /etc/init.d/ for mounting shares (edit to mach your shares and
change permisions to "755" "rwx r-x r-x")

Ok i test this now: kernel_phja_720_vsfsam_cpu1608h_gpu600_ddr720

Edit: Tested Netflix but shutdown only after mabey 2 minutes.

Have many shutdowns when watching video even with this low ram oc. Even had a shutdown over night when leaving it in start screen. Starting to wounder if my hardware is broken or something, but it was 100% stable with nexus rom so i really dont no.

Can you try kernel_phja_720_vsfsam? That one is absolutely stock except for the vsync fix.

This is actually the kernel I use on a daily basis now as I have a 720p TV and any video content I've tried already plays smoothly without overclocks.

I don´t really need oc, it is just for the fun of it! I do not feel any difference in menues ect with this one compared to a oc one.

Edit: And just as i said that box shutdown when watching video with Archos. Mabey i need to do a complete new flash and erase IDB.

Worked for me..
I reflashed it with kernel 720 cpu 1800 ddr 720 is excelent no crashes ,.

What's the advantage of not installing the rom airplay, choosing no_airplay?

Even if i don't use it's available, why not install, affect something?

Running in background ofcourse.
If you dont use it why install it.
Install if you use it...

Airplay shows annoying popups when connecting to a network. If you don't need it, don't install it.
