Network problems?
Is there a problem with this rom browsing the network from other machines on the same network as the hdmi stick (in my case a cx919)?
When viewing the network in internet explorer (using windows 8) i takes about a minute to list my machines in that network (only 4) when the stick is powered on and connected. Without it it takes just a few seconds.
Total Commander which I use, times out completely when it is connected and doing the above.
I never have any problems using IPs, only when using or listing the names of the machines in the network.
I know Strauzo used to say that some chinese software played booboo with your router, but I never had any problem until now really. Personally, I think it might be something with the eHomeMediaCenter. I get the same behaviour when I enable my nas to be local master browser (cifs) which my router already takes care of. So there is definately some struggling for resources.
How would I go about removing eHomeMediaCenter if I wanted to test without it? Just remove the APK?
Anybody else got an idea?

Now Wifi is very stable and works fine for me (no drops at the moment), but I think that wifi hardware is very poor (max connection is 65 mbps). I think that I need a powerfull connection to use NBA Game Time or Netflix.
About netflix, I have the same problems. I play a movie, and 5 minutes later, it drops or sound still playing, but image freeze. Anyone have a solution for this problem?
To solve the WiFi problem, I got the following solution.
Buy this repeater
I like this from DX. Find the cool gadgets at a incredibly low price with worldwide free shipping here.
and use LAN port to connect MK908 v3 using this gadget
also I'm using the original power supply. I found that one for replace the original one.

And I want to buy a powered USB Hub.
I need to know your opinions about this. If what I think is right and if it can be made to work (if the network connection in this way will be better)
About netflix, I need your opinions to. It is a general problem or is it a problem caused by network connection there?
Thanks a lot for you comments. All comments for all users are welcome.
So something has been corrected or the buffering method have changed, because now the Netflix APP works flawlessly without blocking the system!!
I am using Neomodes 1.7 ROM and also try Finless 1.6a ROM, in my CX-919 TV stick and installed the most recent Netflix version, and don't need the Xposed Netflix Fix anymore:
Netflix 3.0.2 released 31.Oct.2013
Don't use any other old version, all of them have the same buffering problems, and you will have to use the Xposed Netflix Fix.
For the first time the Netflix APP is working flawlessly with Android 4.2.2!!

Marvin build with finelss 1.6a
I am unable to use kernels built with Marvin - loops at boot - the finless logo appears for a few seconds blanks out and reappears. The stock kernel seems to be working okay, but I would like to use the overclocked kernel I built.
I have another strange problem - with the SDK2 ROM + Marvin kernel, when I attach a 1.5 TB Western Digital hard drive (I am using a powered USB hub), after about 30 mins, Android reboots. I also have a 3A PSU. Any idea why ?
With this ROM, the reboot doesn't seem to be happening. However, the hard drive LED keeps blinking even without any access.

Thanks.

Hi.. I have flashed Finless Rom 1.6a on my MK 908. I have verified that the device is a authentic MK 908 by opening the case but i have no clue on the version. However, I have noticed that the model shown was a rk31sdk in the setting before i flashed the ROM.
However, after flashing the ROM I couldn't get any signal from my screen though there is still blue light. I have tried using ROM flash tool again, but there was no USB recognition in that condition so I am stuck.
Anyone has a clue to resolve this problem? frustration.

Can someone say what's a good and working rom/XBMC version combination for MK908 (v3) at the moment? I'm using this Finless ROM 1.6A at the moment with XBMC 12.3 version for OUYA which has h/w acceleration. My problem is that when I'm watching a video, xbmc playback buttons becomes unstable. Sometimes I can't click any of the buttons (pause, stop, search for subtitles etc). Playback is quite smooth though. I have made a cooling mod for the device which works well, no more crashing caused by heat. Could the stock PSU cause these kind of problems? I have ordered a new one (5V, 3A).

No offense but my time is better spent on much more difficult tasks than opening a zip file with 7-zip and copying in 2 PNG files.

Could someone point me to a png file which doesn't have this problem?

AW: UPDATED - MK908 Finless ROM 1.6a

This is the case for the pointer that is included in this ROM by default as well. Not something you notice readily when just using android, but in a RDP session to windows it becomes a problem.
