In Windows Explorer, go to 'Quick Access' and type \\192.168.5.52 (which appears to be your local address per your image above)
That IP address belongs to CoreELEC.

Edit - I recall now I had this same issue before and actually posted on CoreELEC (with no reply)
Tell me about it! I asked whether it would be possible to simply copy/paste using Windows Explorer (or in my case, xPlorer 2 which is a twin-paned version similar to Total Commander)? I got no reply and unless I've misunderstood you, it would appear you are suggesting above that I do precisely that. And if that does work, why the need for another program?

I took a brief look at WinSCP and decided it is very similar to FileZilla which I have been using for over 20 years. On the basis of "better the devil you know", I think I would prefer to use that. Before I attempt it, can you please confirm whether the job can be successfully done via Explorer as you first suggested because that would be my preferred choice?

    Edit:
Curious as to whether I could connect via SSH using FileZilla, I attempted it and it worked instantly. Rather than stop there and finish the task later, I just dragged the remote.conf file across and closed the connection. Then I rebooted the AM6. Lo and behold, the Bose remote works perfectly, just as you guessed it would! So, no need to worry about my previous questions and thanks very much for all your assistance.

And by the way, last night I watched a movie with zero sound drop-outs so it seems that CoreELEC is the solution to this problem in Android.

I do however, have other Kodi related issues.
After the movie, I went into my music library and discovered an option called Party Mode. Not knowing what it was, and I still don't, I decided to select it so I could see what it does. It instantly went crazy scanning my entire music library. I tried to stop it but there was no response to any buttons. The first time I compiled my library, it took almost 2 days to complete which is why I was desperate to stop it. Fed-up and unable to make it respond, I shut down the Bose amp, my projector, and attempted to shut down the AM6 via its power button. The AM6 refused to shut down. I could have just pulled the power lead but figured that may corrupt the Kodi installation so I just retired for the night. This morning, I found it had finally shut itself down.

What has Party Mode done and, assuming it has created a monster playlist, can I find that and delete it?

Next issue; when I viewed my music in Kodi on Android, I only had to click on a song and it would play. Last night, no matter how many I clicked on, none would play. Finally, I found that by entering Settings > Player > Music, I could view all the contents of my music drive and clicking on any song made it play. Clearly, that's not the way it's supposed to work so what have I missed please?

You actually asked about using Kodi's file manager - I don't believe you can do that, maybe it's possible.
Even if you could, it's just easier to map your CE to your Main PC than to have to go to the box with removable storage
Yes, FileZilla is very similar to those others I referred too - glad that all worked out using something you know
That IP address belongs to CoreELEC.
Well, yes, that would be how you would see it in Explorer

And by the way, last night I watched a movie with zero sound drop-outs so it seems that CoreELEC is the solution to this problem in Android
That is also good news and confirms is definitely not hardware issue and therefor something not quite right in your Android configuration (sound settings)
I do not have this issue in Android

For Library questions, since not really specifically AM6 related, you should really go to either the CoreELEC or Kodi forums.
I don't use it, so can't be of any real help there anyway
I believe Party Mode creates a Playlist which plays files randomly (which as its name suggests you might do if hosting a party and wanted to do such)

Ok, will do. Thanks once again.

The other thing that remains a question is why the non- reva dtb would not work on your machine
I know your system is functioning but it's bothering me why we went through all that pain when I recommended the non-reva dtb which was/is working perfectly on my box.

Perhaps you could validate which hardware set you have as to whether it really is a 'Plus' ?

In android, if you have a Terminal App, you can run the following command

          cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep Serial

          This is my result

Click image for larger version Name:	proc_type.png Views:	0 Size:	72.4 KB ID:	810492

i.e. My Device is 290b - which is the faster 2.2 GHz device

You can also just install a free app called CPU-Z

Click image for larger version Name:	Screenshot_20200718-080246.png Views:	0 Size:	96.5 KB ID:	810493

Here you can see is the 2.2 GHz spec

          My understanding is the reva is the slower 1.8 GHz device although the reva dtb should work on either spec box (although limited to the slower clock speed if the reva is used on a revb SOC);
But the non-reva dtb would only work on the faster device.

Again I can confirm that the non reva dtb definitely works on my box.

The box was white and green and labeled AM6 Plus. I bought it during one of AliExpress' sales. How do I open a terminal window on the box, and/or is CPU-Z an Android app and if so, can I find it in Aptoide TV? Don't forget, there was no RevB option in CoreELEC.

Given the price of 129 euros, it is possible that the retailer sold me another model in a Plus box but I highly doubt it. The current regular price is €134.72. The device itself does not have the word Plus on it. In fact it has nothing other than the Ugoos logo. I should point out that I have 2 of these and both look identical. The first one I purchased was an AM6 Pro which went in the master bedroom. My wife uses that and is very happy with it. I wanted the Plus version for the cinema so I bought another from a different retailer. I did that because the first retailer wouldn't answer any of my questions.

The box (container) looks exactly like my box with the same designation labeled AM6 Plus

Don't forget, there was no RevB option in CoreELEC.
There are still two options - essentially a rev_a and a 'not'_rev-a (which by implication would be the 'b' version)

              g12b_s922x_ugoos_am6.dtb
              or
              g12b_s922x_ugoos_am6_rev_a.dtb

You reported that your system would not boot with the first one (NOT rev-a) and ONLY booted when you changed to the rev_a dtb

Mine had no issue booting with the first one (NOT rev_a) and is definitely a 290b 2.2Mhz device

That implies yours might not be a 290b (unless it was just coincidence that change went along with some other things you had done)

Free Terminal apps (lots of them) and CPU-Z are available directly in the Play Store on Android

If it IS a 290b, then hard to see why it would not have loaded with the ****am6.dtb
(unless as previously stated, perhaps it was not the changing to the rev_a that really got you going)

It's just for my own edification to understand why yours seemingly would not establish with the first one, when mine does

Yes, I understand your concern and it bothers me a little too because we wasted loads of time and I had to buy a 2nd card when in reality, there was nothing wrong with the first one. So, I will go along with your request and see if we can get to the bottom of this. Unfortunately, we have guests this evening so I won't be able to mess around in the cinema but I'll get down to it tomorrow morning.

Have a great day! (it's almost 9pm here in France)

Is it possible you might have mixed them up at some point?
The two boxes look identical externally and of course even run the same firmware
The Plus has the faster S922XJ SOC @ 2,2 GHz vs S992X @ 1.8 GHz on the Pro

                  I guess if your cinema one comes up as 290a, you can run the query on the bedroom box and see what it says;
if it says 290b, you have your answer
If both are 290a, then you may have been cheated
If the cinema one IS a 290b, then it raises question as to why it wouldn't boot with that dtb

Termux is a nice Terminal App (and free of course)

No, absolutely impossible because the Pro was installed in the bedroom 2 weeks before the Plus arrived. Other than installing her ladyship's favorite apps (YouTube and FB), I haven't touched it since. The Plus was for me although I understand from the guy who runs TV Box Review that as I don't play games, the Plus is actually overkill and even a basic AM6 would have done the job fine.

I haven't had the opportunity to do your check yet. Should I install CPU-Z or Termux?

                    Comment

The terminal app will give you more upside to do more, if you ever need down it the road.

                      Re Youtube - I run SmartYouTubeTV - I like it a lot& it's ad-free.
That may be in Aptoide (not sure) or you can certainly download the latest apk directly off the web

You can install in parallel, so it won't replace the Official Youtube - but you can still sign in with your YouTube credentials and it will still show subscriptions, favourites etc
Put in on her Highness's box and she can see if she likes it but still have her std YouTube there if she simply prefers the original

Because the first app I installed was Aptoide TV and on the FB page for my projector users were saying only Smart YouTube and YouTube Vanced would work, I chose the former. I'm pleased you recommend it too although we are finding it impossible to use due to our slow connection. As of next weekend, we should be converted to fiber though.

I installed CPU-Z and it instantly gave the same readout as yours, 2.21 GHz. I haven't installed Termux yet because, as I understand it, the 2.21 GHz confirms I have the Plus model although it still poses the question as to why only the RevA dtb worked with mine? Have you also tested the RevA version on yours?

                          Comment

both work with mine - I checked each one and have have used the one I initially recommended on multiple different media
Do check with the Terminal command though - it will give definitive answer as to 290a or 290b

When did you get your box and which Ugoos firmware release are you running?
Probably a long-shot but you never know...
