Alright! Sorry guys because I really don't want to be that guy, but... Luckily, Kemor asked his question above because like I mentioned before, I also had an odd serial number, and turns out it's good I was having problems because apparently I was trying to use the wrong version. So tried again with correct version. I even followed Clark's advice and tried to make my own male to male USB chord out of old ones I had. Burned a new card. Still no joy! When I hold down reset button I still end up in Android recovery menu. Tried the install from EXT option to load it from the SD card. Nothing. How do I know if I burned the card properly? What am I missing here? Should I factory reset the box, and then try from there?

Your best bet is to flash this box with the USB Burning Tool. I don't think the SD-Card gets made properly with the current SD-Card tool. So I decided to remove it from first post.

Hello,
not sure if you're using original remote that comes with box or if you're using a third party remote. I have only original remote and I have no problem using remote voice with this ROM and box. You might want to go to app store then go to top left corner and click on search icon and then click mic and it will ask for permission to use audio / mic and grant that permission maybe you need to do this first. Also if you go to app store make sure all system apps get updated that also may help.

I tried with the power usb hub and that was the first time the box heard me.
Now I move it a little bit more from TV and by get the remote closer to the box ( about 2 mts) I note it hear me some times.
I will have to keep trying.

Not sure what remote you're using like I've mentioned. But I used the factory remote and have the USB dongle connected directly to box without powered hub and it works fine. Maybe try a different USB port on box. I've also had some other users who have verified that the voice remote function is working properly for them too. Merry Christmas to you too.

1- Thank you for sharing this rum

2- I have easily installed my c922 device via USB

3- If there is an Ethernet connection at the first start, the system stays on the standby screen.

4- Seamless installation starts with wifi

5- After the language is selected, when I select the setup screen with the mobile phone, it throws back to the language selection screen, and when I select it, the installation continues.

6- The last problem I saw is opening miracast but my phone doesn't see it, I will continue to try it.

7- I have been using it for about 1 day and it has been running very well

8- If possible, it will be more delicious if it comes with rood locking feature.

Yes it is the original air remote that came with the GT-king Pro from Gearbest on december.

Yeah I have heard a lot of people complaining about their stock remotes. I have 2 stock remotes and tried both of them on my ROM and they both work good for me. So you might have a defective remote. You can also use a third party remote a lot of them have the mic option too.

1. After upgrading to this ROM, would the final result be rooted (root available)? I like to install AdAway for low-level add blocking, and a few other tiny tweaks?
2. Also, would Nova Launcher work after this ROM is installed? Can I change the launcher to that?

This ROM is rooted by default, as for the Nova Launcher it doesn't seem to work like it use to on Android 7 the last time I checked. It seems like Nova Launcher had issues with Android 8 and up, you're not able to drag and drop items like you can in Android 7. So that's why I switched to Square Home Launcher 3, which has a lot of customization options.

Yes you can update the apps without any issues, worst case scenario you would just need to uninstall previous version if for some reason it doesn't update properly. But you shouldn't have to re-flash box just to get apps updated.
