Can you please tell me what low CPU voltage kernel does, is it for a sake of saving battery life?
    Thanks.

No, the voltages of my kernels are not touched. I do not want to play with the voltages as I do not have the time to test all versions. V4 and V4.1 are rock stable and that is the important fact for me.

        Hi,

Low voltages are for better battery life (and also less heat !).
But, keep in mind that not all the hardwares are the same and some devices won't boot with a low voltages kernel. It's a matter of testing and some moments of stress !

Just a query: Will this kernel run on 1.7 RileyROM? Anybody flashed via CWM?

            Need Help

            hi to all,
i just want to ask how to remove the label "no sim card" on the lockscreen or what is the specific file for it?
for some reason some riley rom have it and some don't and i liked it where the lockscreen doesn't have that sign. well it is not a big thing but out of curiousity if someone knew how to remove it or atleast give a hand on how to do it myself would be much appreciated.
            thanks

Great! You copied all my voltages prepared for the m6pro. You are another lucky owner of a "pure" CPU.
For your information I also managed to reduce voltages for the GPU part by AT LEAST -75mV.
I suggest you to help me finding the lowest stable GPU voltages.

                Hi giouncino,

                Great work !

for the GPU, now i'm testing this one with success :

                "gpu600h" =>
                [
                [800000, 133000],
                [825000, 200000],
                [850000, 266000],
                [900000, 366000],
                [1000000, 466000],
                [1100000, 600000],
                ],

Which program do you use to make Gpu stress and stability test ? I use stabilty test (for scaling CPU), Antutu and some games.

it's not easy to found the voltage in use for the mali 400MP.

Pay attention; 366 and 466 seems to be ignored by the tablet (It still uses 300 and 400).

I'm testing a little bit higher voltages:
                  [875000, 133000],
                  [900000, 200000],
                  [950000, 266000],
                  [975000, 300000],
                  [1025000, 400000],
                  [1175000, 600000],
                  without any issue.
                  I'll check with yours soon!

The problem is not only the program to test the GPU (I also use Antutu, stability test, 3Dmark and epic citadel), but understand which is the current frequency used by the GPU.
For example do you know which is the frequency used during power on? and during normal browsing?
On 3D (like 3dmark, antutu or epic citadel I suppose it is set to 600Mhz, but on other scenarios is very difficult to understand how GPU scale the frequency...)

we need to keep in touch to share our understandings and results!

                  UPDATE:
GPU tested with your voltages, no problems!
Now I think that 300Mhz could work with 875mV and 400Mhz@950mV (looking for a more linear graph on excel)...
I'll test it as soon as I can!

                      Hi Randy,
Just flashed this ROM with RileyROM1.9-kernel-cpu1704_gpu660_ddr800_v.4.1 kernel. All works great but Netflix, which is the mainly used by my kids, doesn't work. When I click on a movie to play it remains on "Loading...", and never starts the movie
                      Please help!

Update: the same happens with the original kernel from the ROM.

Try installing Xposed Framework. There is a Netflix fix module you can run. Just Google it.

I had another Pipo tablet that never came on using the power button...but did with inserting a USB. After about a week...the problem cleared up and the power button started working.

It worked great on your 1.6 ROM without any Xposed framework. Why is it broken now?
Regardless, I installed the Xposed framework but it still doesn't work

Thanks, updated to 1.9 all good.

I've noticed that since upgrading from 1.8a, wifi does not start up by default at boot. Not complaining, just noting. I remember you stating that this was an issue for RR1.7 or so - interesting to note it's come back in 1.9, after dissapearing in 1.8.

The tablet is working FAR FAR better than it has for me ever. Antutu score in HD of 19,500 is huge. Far higher than I had on any stock, and general usage within the UI/Chrome/etc is just so snappy

                                Thanks!

edit: Oh and thanks Balrog for your altered kernels. Only V4 worked for me, but it worked a charm.

Slowry, your reduced voltages didn't work for me hehe
