Pipo M6 Max RileyROM 1.9

Hi guys.Im using 1.9 with 4.1 kernel.
I notised that HDMI dosent not work on this one, it was deffinetly working on all the previous ones including with 3.1 kernel.
…how about yours, is it working?


Also, regarding Antutu scores. I always get arround 19500 on different ROMs, but performance was different, like this time its much snapier and can actually use HD mode without lags (I still don't use it, as I get more frizzing).
Meanwhile on my Nexus 4 i get same arround 19500 points, 3d scores much higher than m6.
But despite same Antutu scores, performance is tottaly diferent, N4 is very fast and fluid, while M6 well behind this kind of perrformance.


So the question i have is, why? Why M6 can't be as fast as N4?

Hi,

After two days re-flashing with the new version and 4.1 kernel I am astonish, it looks like a new tablet. Good job.

However, I have an issue I had with the Augusts version. "Phone Signal Scanning Time" and "Phone Signal Strength Time" are consuming 75% of the battery for the process "Cell Standby".

This tablet in WIFI only M6 Max. So I don´t understand why that process is running.

Anyway, the last time I fixed just removing the Telephony.apk and phone.apk.
Is there any other way to do the trick?

Basically the GPU in th nexus is powerfull enough to handle a full HD display, where as it isnt really in the M6, The overlock has helped but Ive always felt that you need at least a Mail-t604, thats the next one up, to run a retina display properly.

Surely a 4 inch screen vs 9.7 inch would have something to do with it... Rightly or wrongly, I've come to expect that sort of minor lag from a big screen tablet. My first Asus Transformer Prime was far worse at stock than these new ROMs are.

My M6 with 1.8 is bricked....

I have been using for a few weeks with no issues...today i turned it on and the rileyrom opening screen comes on and stays there forever. It doesn't make it to the large rileyrom screen...just the small initial one. I have tried to flash to 1.9 but can't get past this screen. I can't get the rom flash tool to see it since it won't boot.

Yes of course, the bigger the screen the more pixels there are that need to be moved around. The problem with the m6 is the GPU just isnt quite powerfull enough for the size of the screen and resolution.

Yes, it's a shame that when Rockchip designed the 3188 processor they didn't upgrade from the same mali 400 GPU they used in the 3066. The next chip comes with a better GPU.

Yeah im really looking forward to that, i think the rumours are that its going to be the early part of next year, The GPU wil be the Mali T624, That is a massive jump from the current Mali 400 MP.

Bigger Screen??? you should compare resolution,,, no pixel size.

The graphic card does the same job if my screen in 10mx10 than 1mx1m if the resolution is the same....

Yes of course ur right, but basically more pixles = harder working GPU

Hi. I am using 1.9 rom + 4.1 kernel combination. I don't have a stable wifi as if signal quality was decreased. Going near wifi modem and everything is ok. But before with 1.5 rom + 1.6 kernel, wifi was way better than current. Are there anyone like me? Can this be fixed? Thanks.

Yes, I have the same problem. Otherwise the tab works well.
Pity. Still hoping for a 4.4 update!

I suspect that tx power was lowered. With Wifi Tx Power application, I increased tx power and I got an increase in wifi quality.
