I installed the firmware and looks a lot like firmware 20140430. Added are an alternative home launcher and the mxplayer.
someone knows why while playing a video, I get two black bars, one at the bottom and one at the top overlapping the video (beside them 1mm I can see the actually video playing). I can get rid of them by doing custom and back normal video playback.
I figured it out to let the black bars disappear on my 16:10 monitor: system - video - expert: Allow error in aspect ratio from none to 20%. Et voila! gone black bars
I agree, we can skip this one. Depressingly, it doesn't address any of the issues we highlighted with Acemax's last release - so go figure what or who they are responding to!
Ethernet is still inadequate and does not approach the performance of Finless 1.3 beta; paid apps still don't install; the Metro-like launcher still lags and yes, I still saw a couple of force closes on msettings.
The factories are plainly tinkering in the margins while the big questions go unanswered..
Do you known if ethernet speed is correct with this firmware?

I tried this latest version. Ethernet is slightly better than with the previous release but still not on a par with Finless 1.3 Beta. Paid apps still won't install.
We need Bob to update his unique rom to address blinking light, audio sync etc.
