Karel, any recommendations for a 4.1.1 rom that can play live streams?

It should be straightforward to recreate the BeIN sports error. Just download the BeIN Sports App (MENA region) and run it.

It will try and play a video straight away and you shouldn't need an account.

I just played a video within the BeIN sport app (on android 4.1.1). It worked just fine.

(One suggestion to try first. Try to install the latest flashplayer on the finless rom, and try the BeIN Sports app again.)

I use the latest 4.1.1 stock rom from minix (rooted, patched libmedia.so, patched librkffplayer.so, 720p kernel, antutu cpu master (performance 1512MHz), flashplayer 11.1, XBMC for Minix beta 2 (plays h264 and mpeg 2 with hardware decoding), Cheapcast (chromecast emulator), Airpin (enables airplay and DLNA), added wireless XBMC keylayout).

All is working fine (no hangups for more then a week).

I downloaded the rom from the minix website. I did the rooting and patching myself. So there is no rom (rooted and patched) to download. I do have all the patched files if you want them.

I installed 1.3 last night and all smooth so far.

I use the XAF edition of XBMC so at 720p I have no complaints.

Netflix works fine and all in all everything seems snappy.

The flash went well and after the system settled down it only took me about 20 minutes to add back the apps I like and set all the settings and preferences to my liking.

Thank you Bob so far its running great I have the 720p oc version runs fast and no issues. But I was wondering why does this not have sleep mode in the setting or even a lock screen.

What oc you have used for stable xbmc experience.

Hy guys,

I want to connect my neo x5 to an old tv with 640x480 resolution(480p). The tv has am vga entry.....so i buy a hdmi to vga cable. But when i connect the neo, nothing appears...does not working.
I don't know if this rom has an 480p kernel? (I haven't downloaded yet).

Can someone confirm that has an 480p kernel, and maybe that is the reason why i can't see anything.

The only kernels I have ever seen are 720 and 1080. I'm not sure if that rules out lower resolutions though.

In screen settings->HDMI mode, the lowest resolution selectable is 720x480p-60 so you may be out of luck.

I tried downgrading to Minix stock 4.1.1 but still no joy.

Very strangely the Home key is not working since i rebooted yesterday. It was working fine day before through my A1+. But not anymore the other keys are fine. Also tried the RkRemoteControl app but same result and no home key working. Only thing is that yesterday the system took long time to boot and some of my settings were reseted like keyboard and statusbar hide which i had to reset, but home key functionality is gone.
I am using 720p noair version.

most often, those hdmi<->cables doesn't works. you'll need some kind of active adapter. i used to try also such cables, but no luck. look at **** or dealextreme, there are some hdmi to vga or hdmi to rca adapters. and, look good for direction of changing signal.

I have un installed all xmbc add ons EXCEPT, Mash up 1.4, it does all and more than the rest put together, go to mashupxbmc.com, join forum for details of how to get it, seriously I was giving up on XBMC until I found this.... works great on the x5 in my sons room

So this is based off minix 005 right? are you guys getting bugs from official like the random volume increases, strange behavior after sleep, shutting down ending in reboot often, etc?
