No it's not 006. I did not know that got released recently. I made this in Jan so obviously it cant be 006.


I will look into 006 and see if I have time to make a 1.4 ROM.

Watching live stream on YouTube is not working.
Picture is disformed and pixelated

Am I the only one who have this problem?

Did not help.
the problem is only when I play live streams such as live tv channels on youtube.
videos play normally.

I have managed to fix HLS streaming by combining the Minix X5 stock rom 006 with the HardwareGuru 04a.Rev2 (for RK3188). To extract the two big firmware .img files you can use RK3xxx firmware tools 4.1.28.

From stock 006 use:
parameter file
boot.img
misc.img
kernel.img
recovery.img

From HardwareGuru 04a.Rev2 rom use:
system.img (I have changed the build.prop (used the one from the system.img from the stock rom) and some keyboard layouts (for harmony and xbox controllers)).

Now finally livestreaming is working on the X5! Also DTS/DD5.1 is working.

(The only issue I have is streaming Youtube from an ipad 2 (ios 7.04) using airplay to the Minix X5 (using airpin 2.1.7). I do get the video , but I don't get the audio. When using youtube on the Minix X5 itself it is all working. Anybody has any suggestions to fix the sound using airplay in combination with youtube?)

How can i overclock the CPU? I tried using tools like SetCPU and Rom Toolbox but cant manage to overclock the CPU higher than its defauls 1600Mhz.
I used the 720p Version with Ram and GPU OC.

Thats the plan. I already purchased some heatsinks and plan to modifiy the case with a fan as soon as i find out how to overclock the cpu.
