Wasser KitKat ran much smoother in android and xbmc but no Ethernet nor Bluetooth. Also some audio problems with sound loss and crackling. ROM only works on our box with his Old 1080p kernels.

Have you tried the finless ROM 2.0 - 4.4.2 KitKat for AP6210 wifi - BETA, or a his kernel with wasser KK...

No, only fw I've used is jellybean and KitKat Wasser. Neither Lewy2001? Wouldn't boot. Kernel problem I think.

Well I reset to default and then 1920x1080 and now I have huge black borders each side vertically. I have a full HD 1080p TV.

Its strange. In my fullHD tv its no borders on screen. I set screen scale to maximum (its 100%) in "screen" -> "screen scale" settings on my box, and change "picture size" option on TV to "Just scan"
Dont forget to check if HDMI mode settings on box is 1920x1080 (it may accidentally change after reset to defaults).

p.s. I think that display-size 1920x1080 is not proper for this box - its portrait display orientation... Proper settings is display-size 1080x1920.

Just got one of these boxes and it wouldnt boot past the "ANDROID" screen. I reflashed it with RK Batch Tool 1.7 and RockChipDrivers 3.5 on windows 8.

Working nicely, apart from needing a lot of apps and customisation. Thanks for all the info on this thread.

MK918 and droimote server problem

For many days I am trying to use the droidmote server that I have bought, but only the mouse does work, and the gamepad dysfunctions as I have posted in the droimote forum ( http://www.videomap.it/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1355 ) .

Is anybody here that has this box and has bought droidmote server to confirm that there is a problem on controlling the games?

I am thinking of flashing with a newer image, but I see that there is not 100% complete image yet.
What do you suggest me to do?

Probably ... now when it passed the Chinese New Year ... can be expected to appear soon new stock ... as sales started to grow vigorously ...
The big problem is RK3188T chip ... which is its specifications away from 1.6-1.8 GHz ... now justified revolt calms customers with new software ... and oc kernel ...

Is anybody here that has this box and has bought droidmote server to confirm that there is a problem on controlling the games?

Hi bbdroidas, I plan to install droidmote later today and will report back on how it works. The newest firmware found by ollie26 is what I am running. It looks like exactly the same box as me, but I havent opened the case. I did at least have that "Wi8.com" sticker on the side

I hope droidmote works, because the remote is very limited! Anyone else tried it on this box?
