    touch problem fixed

Hi, I fixed the touch problem by replacing the libinput and a resource file, as described in post:

So if you have a MK918 and facing touch problems, do the replace of the two files and it will be solved.
I did the replace on stock rom 4.2.2

    Thanks everybody for your help!

      Use rkremotecontrol 2.0.3 from 4pda

Yes, this works, although mine looks good at more like 0.250s offset!

My contrast/brightness is okay, i did adjust via TV remote though.
I am using XBMC - SPMC 12.4 (december 15 2013) Hardware Acceleration works through XBMC
Thanks for this suggestion ollie, problems with the brightness and picture quality were solved by using SPMC. I recommend everyone give this a go.

I tried update_mk918_100k4100_beta0.1 ... It is quite fast KitKat ...
              Antutu score 16,990 (versus 15,866 from update_cs918_203j2104_overseas_1) ...
Not rooted ... no additional software ... (XBMC, Chinese nonsense ...)
Problems with part of the application ... launchers and so on ...
              Normally locked at 1.4Ghz (RK3188T mother****er...)
Not bad at all ... but what bothers me is Kitkat interface ...

Hi gor, thanks for the update. how is the video playback in the xbmc? Some of my .avi divx files are failing in the smbc version i have installed.

I have "discovered" the Video app, which is the Rockchip one, looks like really nice hardware accelerated video, seems all nicely in sync with the audio. I cant get it to be called by xbmc (or sbmc) as an external player, which is a pain. Shame the app is so poor at browsing folders of files....

XBMC is problematic too... maybe just not adapted for KitKat ... external application is probably a better solution ...
I need to try finless ROM 2.0 - 4.4.2 KitKat for AP6210 wifi - BETA ... I'll let you how it works...

tried Minix Neo X7 - finless 1.8 ROM with 720 kernel
rom is booted good ... but no wifi bt and enthernet works ...
rom is quick, no garbage but after five minutes is rebooted itself and again after 5 minutes ...
After that, I tried the original Minix neo X7 rom ver 008 of 01.01.2014 ...
This rom is also very fast stable working on our device ... playstore must be reinstalled ... rom constantly offering an OTA update that should not be accepted ... also does not work bt ...
stable worked more than one hour ...
Minix version of XBMC's also doing great ... problem with installing software from unknown sources ... other peripherals works ...

Hey guys. Are any of the OC kernels working on those Roms? Some guys have got their CPU/GPU OC on the 3188T.
AP6210 wifi are needed in the kernel for wifi to work.

Not sure what you mean by "OC Kernels" but I did spot someone who bought this box on Amazon installing a T-42 rom from freaktab:

Someone else on Amazon said they used a Droidbox ROM - anyone tried them?

I have tried that T-R42 v2.0,ROM from lewy. It doesn't boot for me. Gets stuck in splash screen logo. Tried reboot and same thing.

                              hi ollie,

im not brave enough to try over clocking this box - i havent opened up the case, but lots of people who have show pictures with not much in the way of a heat sink...

I'm looking for boring stability (and h/w video so its got good performance)

The MK918 come with a heatsink. But its cool
I was hoping the box would run at 1.6ghz as 1080p kernel/playback 1.42ghz doesn't quite cut it

SPMC Libmedia edt has h/w video working great at 720p.

What ROM are you currently using?
                                Thanks
