QX1 Quickshot v2 Rom by The Nitro Team

Are there a way to remove root on Quickshot V2 ROM? I use a Video streaming service that does not run on rooted devices so I would like to unroot. I really like this ROM so I would preferr not to revet back to the stock ROM.

So, If someone could post how to unroot the ROM it would be much appreciated. If not, does anyone have a recomendation on an unrooted ROM for the QX1?

It allows you to backup su and restore... as well as temporarily unroot

Thanks a lot for the suggestion but unfortunately the streaming service detected the device as rooted even after turning root of with OTA Root keeper. Does anyone has any other suggestion?

Edit: I tried going back to the Stock ROM but after two hours of horrible experience and crashes (including crashes of the streaming service which refused to run on the stock ROM) I gave up and reverted back to Quickshot and I really appreciate this ROM even more now :-) . But still any suggestions on how to unroot this ROM or hide root would be welcome.

Restore the backup you should have made before changing it out... the Google Play version is known to have issues which is why they included the custom version.

With the rom we include Youtube HD, (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1529715 all credits to theos0o from XDA), now in advanced settings you can choose 720p or 1080p. This is not the most updated youtybe, but it can play at real 720p or 1080p.

Thanks for your reply, but since I don't use BT or WIFI I ended up installiny the qx2 kitkat which works really well.

Hi guys I ran into problem today. Stick bout up fine but when click to launch the app it launches and disappear . when checking recent apps its there but not launching. I'm using tronsmart airmouse. Any suggestion before reflash the ROM.

You didn't say which app you are talking about... and there is no way for them to just guess

Hello, does this ROM includes the solution of HDMI black level problem? I'm on leolas 1.5 now and and in dark scenes it's hard to see anything on TV screen.

Hi guys,

I've read something on the xmbc site about the gotham release... it mentions hardware accelleration for android... Does this mean the native player works when using xbmc? Just wanted to share this news (if it is news... )

5.1 ?

Does this rom, or any ROM out there, support 5.1 channel DD/DTS passthrough ? Gotham seems to have better support for it but my 5.1 channel movies still get mapped to 2.0 channels (pcm) even when passthrough is selected in XBMC (i'm still on finless 1.5).

This is the last missing feature that remains before I can seriously consider making this device my main media player.

I went ahead and flashed the rom (seems like a great rom!) and I did notice that a Rockchip HDMI Passthrough was listed in the soundmanager !!! YAY!! But trying to use it in XBMC didn't work.. BOOOO !!!!

Anyone have any luck with this ?
