This rom messed up my stick, just keeps resetting the video now, even if I flash back to finless - shows the boot image for a second and resets.

Also, when it did boot, the 1280p video is very unstable, lots of green lines. Switching to 720p fixes the video, mostly. Then when it stops booting my TV flashes 1280P, 720P, 1280P, 720P...

*unlooped* fixed my stick by flashing finless kitkat and then back to finless 1.5.

LOL!!!! WTF!!!! Seems some people cant read the instruction to flash the rom and configure it, is in the firsts post:

wifi on reboot workaround can give you only 1 problem, the stick can enter in bootloop if you dont power off wifi before reboot, if this happends you only need to unplugg the stick from the PSU wait 2 seconds, and plugg again.

Lets see if writing it with big letters you can read it, WTF!

I tested it, and I worked on it for a long time, maybe you did a bad flash.

Sorry, for me speed is the same, I have a 30Mbps upload line and testing it with speednet it gives me about 27Mbps.

We are working on it, some apps seems that cant give us proper video, apps like youtuve hulu and other like them.

Sv: QX1 Quickshot v2 Rom by The Nitro Team

Hi Leolas and team. Thank you for a fast and stable rom. I have used this for a couple of days and I must say I am impressed, fast Wifi, smooth, working Xbmc. Using the kernel you recommended. Only thing is its getting really really hot, but that's not the rom but the hardware.

Thanks a lot, maybe I should add more cpu low steps to kernel. I will try to make a new kernel pack.

Just to say, It's a known issue of all known imito QX1 roms. I even had to put a specific workaround for this device on my Reboot app. The app HAS to turn off wifi before rebooting or you'll be stuck in a bootloop.

To be clear, the device or all the existing firmwares are broken concerning reboot. So we try to do what we can to implement workarounds, but as long as we don't have full source, you'll have either to re-enable wifi on boot sometime or find another way to reboot : for example the only "stock" way : power off by unplugging, then powering on again.

I was going to ask if this can get looped from just getting unplugged bc I never even used the reboot, my son stole the power to charge his phone before it looped. I don't really care now, I see how it is and I'm done with it.

Sorry that I have to say this : these devices are great for the price they are usually paid, but they usually lack proper manufacturer firmware updates. There are - as always - bugs, But on these cheap devices you won't usually get regular bug fixes from the retailer. We try to make the most of it here, with the help of customer reports (the more details you can provide, the more we can help), but please keep in mind we do it for free, just for the fun of understanding how things work, and to help people. That's it. So be prepared to be involved, if you really want things to be fixed. And be friendly to devs, it's usually the only reward they get here (and they usually don't ask more than respect, even if grateful thanks are welcome ) And I don't know how much ) to close so ...)))).

Thanks Petrus, I modded a little more the kernel and now we can enable wifi automatically with a script in init.rc, and we removed /system/bin/reboot link to toolbox so your reboot app will work (inclusive without your kindly patch), it calls a script in sh who disable wifi service and then call toolbox reboot $1 so in future versions of your great app, you can remove the patch for the QX1. Thanks a lot for your app

But if the stick got a random reboot or user use the reboot option in system bar the stick will enter in a bootloop, then the stick will need a total disconnection from the psu to exit of the bootloop. I think that it is a way better that have to power off the stick if you disconnect wifi to make it work again or cant use wifi in normal reboots, but maybe for some people it can be worse, that is why we wrote it with red letters in the first post.

It isn't unusual to see someone that has no technical knowledge or experience with diagnosing problems to incorrectly blame the OS for their problems that start to show up after an update... I've even done this on occasion by mistake even though I've been fixing computers since 1978 ( technically, they were terminals actually )... and professionally since 1989 ( DOS, Windows, Novell up to v3.12 )....

I even thought at first my own issue I was seeing on the latest kernels were to blame... when in fact it is a hardware fault that is just now starting to show up. I was only able to verify it after flashing the Stock and also the previous 1.5a and the problem still was there ( actually worse on the Stock ROM )...

So, as I said... it is understandable to make that type of mistake.

WHAT is not understandable is why someone that is having a problem is so RUDE and just start blaming something... without trying to get help to find out if they may have done something incorrectly or perhaps if their PSU is just a piece of junk and they may need a new one....

I've now got a NEO x7 on order... I'll put the Quickshot v2 ROM on it without fear or worry.... when I finally get an RMA for my QX1 and get it returned... I'll again put Quickshot ( or a newer one perhaps if one comes out ) on it.

Using this rom for a few days now and its working pretty smooth and something which one would expect from stock device. Very well work done by Nitro team.

Also used XBMC for the first time in my life with this rom and am impressed with the UI. Perfect App when device is connected to TV.

I am facing one persistent issue though which i never faced in earlier roms.
Everytime i switch ON power supply and boot device, bluetooth never works. It refuses to activate. Restarting device keeping PSU ON solves the problem though. I test my imito with my pc monitor and use bluetooth headset for audio out. So this issue is a bit annoying as i have to restart device everytime i want to use it.

Anyway, I think soon enough we will have bug free device at mature level.

On a side note, leolas, are you still working on bringing linux on these mini pcs (you had mentioned that long time ago)? Dual booting android and linux would be dream come true for most of the owners i guess.

And as far as IMITO is concerned, this is my first and last device with them. Selling device with buggy software is bad. Not solving problem even after its release is worse. And not helping developers who try to solve these problem is ugly. To hell with them. I think we all should have signatures telling people / prospective buyers to stay away from imito.
