Smells like some kind of firewall blocking the apps using the connection...

After flashing the first time everything went just fine!

    Thanks in advance,

And did you installed something strange? Antivirus or firewall? The signal strength icon is blue or white?

It's blue after approximately 30 seconds.

No I haven't installed firewall or antivirus.

I've just got a tip to check the date and time if it's wrong because that caused this type of problem to a lot of galaxy tab 3 users. Checked it, the clock was set to get the data from the network.
Turned it off, the date and time is correct, nothing changed, apps don't go to the net.

I keep searching, will kepp you update if I've found the resolution!

Tips are welcommed as always though!

        Tricky question solved

        Okay, I've found the solution!

I've had to change the wifi encryption setting in the router from AES to TKIP. Everything's just peachy!!

        Have a nice weekend guys,

        Peace,

Sorry but I can't reproduce your issue, when I reboot, or when I boot the device bt works great for me without reboot needed
Maybe there are a new version of hardware, I got my qx1 just after it was released, Bob got it for me (thanks again Bob) and I don't know if something has changed on them

              leolas.
Well, surprisingly problem gone all of a sudden on its own. Cant imagine what made it arise on every boot earlier. So far things are working out fine.

              Thanks for help though.

@chosk reports that there is other QX1 with a different wifi chip, so if you install this rom and you cant got wifi and BT work, then maybe you have the new qx1 version I am tryining to port the rom for the new QX1, but I don't have the device, so it can last some time.

I've got a question concerning this subject.

I believe I've read that you can't tell which Wifi/BT chipset a device is using with a software test alone ( not talking about looking physically at the chips ) on a device that they don't work on when using a wrong kernel.

So the question is... if the WiFi/BT IS working with the original kernel that comes stock... can you then test to see which chipset is being used from it by querying the kernel to see which modules/drivers are being loaded?

If so, could a simple app be made to report the chipset if the user runs it before they have flashed another ROM?

There is a way to look what is the wifi chifi without open the stick, but it needs root. simply install terminal emulator and write on it:
                    su
                    dmesg>/sdcard/dmesg.txt

In your sdcard you got a file: dmesg.txt.
In that file you can see information about all the boot procces in the stick, included the wifi chip that is detected.

                      Thank you sir...

If root is required to run dmesg... then I guess it would be of little use with most stock ROM's

Great ROM and good support guys!

Thanks Nitro team and Leolas for your patience helping people over and over again!
If I hadn't donated already I would definitely do it for this ROM. Smoothest expercience so far!
Also, the quickflasher comes in handy, just like all other apps you pre-installed. Really loving it.

And best of all, you made me aware of this Beyond XBMC version, this one beates all previous versions! I'll make a good back-up with cwm for this ROM-XBMC combination for sure!

A less urgent matter for me, but maybe you're working on/aware of this: I read Rockchip doesn't handle smoothstreaming/responsive streaming very well. This is a way of streaming video according to your device or connetion speed.
This results in some 'missed tv-show' apps not working well/at all.
Do you know of this problem and think you can do something about this? If you want an example of such a (harmless) app, try 'RTL XL' and just click a video. Usually the commercial works fine, but the actual steam fails...
But again, don't rush on this one, I'm enjoying so much of this ROM already!

                        Tnx!

Thanks, nice you enjoy with the Rom We applied all tweaks we know to improve streaming snd net stability, but is right, some streams from net simply doesn't run as smoth like we want. From local all works really well, we will continue searching for every improvement we can found.

                            Hi Leolas and Nitro Team,

Installed the quickshot ROM, runs nice. Very clean and only the necessary stuff. I didn't knew about Beyond XBMC, this version runs smooth.

I was trying out some movies from the pre-installed XBMC add-on MuchmoviesHD and some of these streams seem to crash the QX1 as soon as I click on it, I have to powercycle it to get it back up running.
Besides that it seems to run quite stable! Great job.

Also check these XMBC addons for Dutch streams (RTLXL etc)
Don't use the native RTLXL, NPO apps, they suck. XBMC addons seems to handle them much better!

That normally implies that your overclocked a bit too much on your device. What is your top speed on this rom set to at the moment? Take a look in No Frills CPU if you have nothing else to check.
