RKM MK902 - Neomode Custom Rom Version 1.0

Hello,

Here I bring you the Custom Rom for the MK902 from RKM. This Rom is based on a Rom direct from RKM not yet released. In this Rom I have removed all not needed Apps and tweaked it for performance.
The Rom is rooted and has init.d Support, also I added some Drivers for External W-Lan Cards and NTFS,CIFS Support.
Also integrated are OC Kernels.

- FreakBrowser (Web Browser always Desktop Mode with Flash Support)
- Flash It! (Tweak App for the Rom)
- Reboot App Thx to Petrus
- No-Frills CPU Control
- Flash Player Settings
- datFM File Manager
- CheapCast (Add Chromecast Function to the Sticks)
- Super User
- Terminal Emulator
- Custom Recovery
- PlayStore

All this App can be removed because they are installed as User Apps.

How do I navigate TWRP? I have a USB Bluetooth Keyboard, I'll bet I need a standard USB keyboard instead.

I'm getting hung up on the RKM Splash Screen after boot. Trying a re-flash now.

No Luck with TWRP, needs a touchscreen. PLEX media player won't work on any of my videos, I get "This video can't be played" message, was working fine on Stock ROM.

I'm getting stuck at the RKM logo after flashing this. Directly after the flash the "Recovery system" messages appear and it formats storage like it's supposed to, but after that it is just stuck on the logo. I then tested by flashing the images from your testing version of the ROM one by one, and the problem seems to be the system.img. By using the old system.img but the rest from this ROM the device will at least boot.

Looks solid. I dont see a XBMC support in the list though, its supported? I still need to wait till mine comes in. This will support 1080p yes?

The updated ROM now boots and seems to be working pretty well. It seems more stable than stock (which usually started rebooting while downloading apps for me). Downloading the Asphalt 8 data was much slower (max 1Mb/s according to system monitor), but if slower IO speed is the cost of stability prefer this stability.

In the previous thread I posted about Twitch.tv streams not working, and sadly this is still the case. The logcats and such can be found in the old thread.

I am Not sure about the streaming problem. let me ask did you want to watch the stream in a web browser ?

I'm trying to watch it through the twitch.tv app (or the alternative app Vortex). First time I've run into this problem.

From the logcat it looks like stock ROM uses FFMpegMediaPlayer for the stream media, but this ROM tries to use AwesomePlayer instead which fails. To find the point of the logcat where it tries to load the stream, search for "selected playlist name". Twitch did also work when running the neomode 19 rom for mk809III without any problems.
