That could be a sweet upgrade, for sure!
    Hi,

    I have both

Because my M8Pro has a big problem with LCD.

    It's the same case.

so the M8HD has a big screen with thinner edges.

    It's really great

Are you actually saying the case on both are the same physical size?

      Wow!

Why am I the only one who finds this amazing? (and I may not be of course )

One reason I love the size is it is the same width as my iPad 2 ...but not as tall. For me this makes just way easier handling. Now you were telling me I can get a bigger screen in the same case! Wow!

OK ...a question. Does the case have much flex?

With thinner bezels on certain iFive and Ramos models we see a whole new type of construction from China on these level tabs. You actually have to use a heat gun to open them up, whereas I assume the Pipo HD still has a pop off back ???

          So...questions.
Batt life? (surely it is not as good as the Pro, with a bigger...more demanding screen)
          Rigidity?
          WiFi?
Speakers? (any better ?...mine are not that good)

Just think what the HD version would be like with a 3288 or one of the other faster SOC that are becoming more common. Again ....WOW!

To open the box, I have used a guitar pick like with the Pipo M8Pro (same case)

The M8HD seems to me less flex.

So the only problem I have had is the wifi, so I have opened (as many Pipo users !) and moved the antenna to another place as I mentioned here : http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l=1#post140790

But now it's OK, I don't see another people with this problem, so .

the battery is 8000mAh, so no problem (don't a test for how longer is it but some says 9 hour video)
              Deep sleep : 0.3% / hour

The sound is good not hifi of course but I use Viper4Android app.

The screen is really good, brighter, I need an app to reduce luminosity in darkness

              So I love it.

With Kitkat, it 's really smooth.

Only small problem : compass not reliable

And no GPS, but I have also an Nexus 7 2012 for that in car.

Maybe Pipo will release the same tablet with 3288 CPU as they do : Pipo M8, M8Pro and M8HD

So you will have to wait ...

Thanks for the reply. I do hope they keep the case and design with better SOC, but I also note they have the W1 ..also a 10.1" ...
                • Windows 8.1 OS
                • 10.1 inch 1280*800 IPS capacitive touch screen
                • Intel Bay Trail-T Z3740D Quad Core 1.33GHz, 1.8GHz Max
                • 2GB DDR3 RAM and 64GB FLASH ROM
                • Dual cameras, 2.0MP+2.0MP
                • Support HDMI/Bluetooth function
Bigger slab type case with a matching keyboard and Intel + Windows 8.1. Different animal, for sure.

Time, and sales numbers will reveal if the M8 case will remain viable. Hope so!

If you didn't play 3D games (even if with M8 HD it is good), I don't see the really need to get more power.

Even better is better, but when 3288 will be out, 3188 will be cheaper

I have tested the neutron app : and all is well now

                      Request DownloadProviderUi.apk

Can someone upload a copy of their DownloadProviderUi.apk file? I'll try to put it in my M8pro because the one installed in mine has problems when I try to open it. Thanks much!!

                            Hi ,
installed this ROM last week , so far so good...
works much better than stock 4.2 that had a deep sleep problem.

                            some few issues though...

                            1) lock screen seems to not always work which is a bit problematic since I'm logged in to all the apps in the device.

                            2) had a few sudden restartes while working with it. I'm talking about browsing with chrome and suddenly the device boots it self.

does someone know how to fix those issues?

                            Thanks

I have an issue with connecting to other Miracast devices, the tablet reboots every time. Anyone else experience similar issue?
