Closeing the browser X Tabs was the only hick-up i could find with this tablet. There's a glitch on every personal device , knowing how to use it personalizes it more . Hope this helps

Thanks, that seemed to do that trick. I too have large fingers and swiping up and down is difficult in the limited space of those tabs. I found that going side to side may also work to turn it blue, and then I lifted my finger and touched the X, and it seems to close with enough coaxing. I did find that the X on the shourtcut tools works OK. I was lifting my finger to touch the X instead of just sliding to the X and releasing. However, the missing URL and Tabs was too much of a hassle, so I turned them off.

    Thanks again!

That script worked well for me as I now have had Google Play working flawlessly for over a week. My tablet has no issues whatsoever, and I'm quite pleased. I did notice that my tablet now thinks it's a Pmid701i after running this script, whereas it was initially a Ptab702c, but EVERYTHING is still working perfectly.

Having said all that, I'm not sure Google Play is worth all that time and effort. Getting apps through Amazon and other means seems just as viable. Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not all that impressed with Google Play.
      Hello!

I noticed that my PTAB7XC ALSO says 701i in Settings. The model number can be changed by editing the build.prop file in the /system directory, but doing so MIGHT cause problems with how Google Play treats app compatibility issues...

Can anyone help me out with getting this hooked up?

        Thanks in advance!
I just noticed a post on uising a USB keyboard on the 702c, well I have a cheap walmart keyboard that wrks great, also the mouse wrks also. Now if I just find a double adapter so I could use both at the same time it would great.

Link to the keyboard you're using? I'd like to plug in a keyboard to this thing and use it.

This is a ONN Keyboard from my local Walmart stock # LK6400 about $9.99 and the mouse is a logitech model M100 also from Walmart and about $9.99, my USB adapter is from Amazon cost was less than a $1.00 no model # on it. I use the keyboard for searching on the browser or youtube after, entering what I want, I just hit the return key and away it goes. It has always worked good for me. I just wish I could find a dual adapter so I could use them both at the same time. Card Readers, usb Memory sticks don't work on the device also USB hubs either powered or not will not work.

It seems that Southern Telecom will have to step up their game to keep competitive in the tablet market. I keep my eye on the chinese tablet market and see that more and more cortex 9 dual core 1gb ram tablets are coming out for under $140. Even google and iconia are coming out with 7" tegra 3 ( quad core) tablets for $199. The more I think about it perhaps the 702c ect should be price at under $75.

              Just a thought.
