    What about Bluetooth???

I picked this up last weekend at BL and I was wondering if it had bluetooth or could bluetooth be installed on it, so that I can use a bluetooth keyboard.

My husband has very fat fingers and finds the on-screen keyboard tedious.

I found this in another thread (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o00_s00_i00) somebody says works on our tablets

there's a polaroid kit on the counter at my BL espescially for these tablets... It came with a real pen(thats now my favorite pen) with a rubber finger/tip side for the tablet (its called a stylus i beleive) , and also a soft protective case came in the polaroid tablet kit. I hav fat fingers too ;D....the hardest buttons for me have been when u open a series of google tabs. I thot the tablet was broken. You have to actually do a little upwards or circular rub to close them , ther tiny 'x' tabs...also , flipping the tablet upside down helped sometimes. I want to try diabls amazon keyboard also

              PTAB7XC Home Button Issues...

I purchased a PTABXC from Kohls this past weekend and tried to put google play on mine last night. I don't have a microSD card yet (should be here tomorrow), so I transfered the files from my computer to the internal storage and then followed from there. I think google play is working now but I have lost both the physical button on the front and screen home buttons. I have seen that people said a Factory reset solved the problem. Does that mean after the reset you had to install google play again and what did you do to help both to work?

Is factory reset the little button on the back or do I have to do the thing with downloading from the souther...... website? I have a mac and wondered if I do have to do the stuff from the website, will it work because Macs don't really recognize .exe files. I have a really old version of Parallels but I don't know if that will work ok or not?

Basically I am trying to figure out if I really need play or should I just use the Amazon App Store (and others) to get the Apps that I need after the reset.

Like most I would like to have my cake and eat it to (aka home buttons working with Google Play)

I am so new to this I am just trying to navigate my way around. I really don't have a firm grasp on all the different things you guys are talking about but I am trying/willing to learn. Any and all help would be appreciated.

I put it in this thread because I think the PTAB7XC and the PMID702C are pretty much the same at least from what I can gather. Thanks

Maybe I was just lucky but I got Google Play installed no problem and haven't had any problem with my home button either. Honestly I don't think the two are related -- the Google Market app shouldn't have any effect on the behavior of a hardware button.

I haven't had to do a factory reset or image restore either. But if you do want to restore from the factory image, yes you'll need a windows machine or a virtual machine.

If you read his other thread, my home / back button doesn't work either, but I wasn't sure if it worked before or not because as soon as I opened my tablet I installed the google marketplace, but he has had his tablet a few days before he installed the marketplace and evidently it DID work before he installed the marketplace last night, so it's done something to the tablet to cassuse it t not work. I haven't found anything in the settings to make it work again so there's something going on tho.. =\

                    Getting the home keys back

I killed the home keys playing around, to get them back I used "Any Cut" to create a shortcut to "Setup Wizard", launch Setup Wizard, tap the four corners of the screen starting at top left, and viola, my home keys worked again.

BTW, thanks community, I love this tablet.

                      thanks

When I click on setup wizard after runninig any cut, I get "Unfortunately, setup wizard has stopped.. any other way to do this?

I could not find it on the marketplace, I found it was removed for some reason.. I got it here and installed in manually

What process/set-up did you use for Google Market? Is yours the PMID702C? I am just trying to figure out if I should do a factory reset and then try to go back to do a different install or if that will only make things worse? Again just new but wanting to retain the original functionality while adding Google Play and just looking for tips and success stories to try to follow.

Thanks everyone for all your help and patience.

I tried both the default and the special coordinate system with no luck. I bring this up because on both the 701i and the 701c it runs fine. If anyone has any ideas i am all ears.

I just wanted to say, I saw somewhere somebody was asking about other games like Temple Run. I just heard about another game that's like temple run, but I don't believe it uses tilt, just swiping. It's called "subway surfer" I believe it's free and looks like it plays like temple run, just it doesn't require tilt.

When i made my second install of Google Play (to get the icon to upgrade from Market) the same buttons
stopped working also. This was in addition to Google Play not working correctly. Finally bit the bullet and used the paperclip to do a factory reset. Not only did I get my close program buttons back but Google Play worked perfectly!

                            YMMV, Good luck

I didn't think the tiny button on the back is a factory reset? I thought it was if the tablet froze, you'd have a way to easily reboot it.

When you did the paperclip in the tiny button on the back, did it remove all of your settings and apps? and you had to reinstall them or..

                              thanks

My cousins kid dropped my tablet the other day when it was charging and broke the USB port so I decided to open it up and look around.
After some solder and some hot glue I think I have it fixed now but the USB port looks pretty fragile so be careful.

Here are a few pics of the tablet apart.
