I know less than nothing about tablets, but I picked up a PMID702C at Big Lots a couple of days ago and it was working great, but now all of a sudden it won't connect to the WiFi. Every time I try to connect I either get a message that says "authentication failed" or it goes into endless searching for the IP Address. I pulled up the advanced tab and the PC IP Address says "not available". Any ideas? All the phones, laptops and other wireless toys are running just fine...it's just the tablet. Thanks!

Have you tried shutting the tablet off, give it a minute or two and then turning it back on, and trying to connect?

Downloading Google Play Store to my PMID702C
I am very, very new to tech, and my level of tech savvy is so far below where all of you are at. I don't understand any of what you are saying. But, I follow instructions very well if you explain them as you would to an infant. I need to know how to download and install the Google Playstore App to my Polaroid PMID702C.
I would be most appreciatave for any help I can get.

The 810015404 is the black version of the PMID702C
I assume the other one is the white version.

Bought 2, a white one, it is labeled as a PTAB702C and a black one labeled as a PMID702C. The packaging and documentation for both shows PMID702C. Both seem identical other than color.

Although the 702c is bigger than the Nextbook I just returned, there are several features that are nicer on this unit. First, it has been reported that the Polaroid units have better battery life than the Nextbooks.
Also, the capacitve screens on these units vs. the resistive on the Nextbook 7S (both the same price on sale).
Finally, and a big one for me, it charges via usb port. The charger is universal as well, so you could use it to charge a phone, or ipod.
Nice unit!

skype on the PMID702c
help me! we've downloaded skype onto our tablet, and we can call with it, but no video chat. The camera works because we've used it to take pictures and video. But while in skype it doesn't even offer the video call feature. Any ideas? We purchased this specifically to give to our children so they could skype us during a separation we are experiencing right now.

Might help the developers for all 3 series.

Problem is, 702s have cameras and 701s do not. I traded the NextBooks I had for 702c tablets today, and will do a ROM dump if someone wants it.
Sounds like it's gonna be a snap to add Google Play Store to 'em. Unfortunately, that may be a day or two for me...

Have you tried Skype 2.7 or other earlier versions? From what I've read online, it would seem that Skype 2.8 for Android tablets has issues. Now that Mikeysoft owns 'em, they don't seems to be concerned very much about supporting Android tablets on Skype.
If you can't find a way to get Skype to work, you MIGHT have to give Google Talk or OoVoo a try...
