There is no need for a new rom just flash the new kernel and enjoy 1.6ghz

All is fine now perfect/best rom for the m9pro! Awesome!

Just untick all box besides kernel, select your new kernel.img file then flash rom

Do not click on erase nand (idb) as this will erase everything!

These M9 Pro ROM seems based on Pipo firmware dated 03.19 ...our 4.4.2 ROM is based on M7 Pro firmware dated 03.06 with 12/2013 kernell ..maybe we will see corrected missing cursor in text input , an libril file who will enable DS natively and reports 3G status in a correct manner, or other improvements... things who will justify a new ROM in my oppinion.

Flashed it here also. Up until now, it works fine. Only thing to remember: When unpakking it, change the foldername. The flashtool can't read the Chinese gibberisch in the original map name.

To save everyone from needing to download the whole ROM, I made an account and uploaded just the kernel.img file.

Just use the original Flash Tool from the Riley 2.6 ROM, but substitute this kernel.img file under the RileyROM folder (make sure you keep a copy of the original kernel.img file though).

The one additional option I see that can be changed within Trickster is "Read Ahead Buffer Size" which I have now set at 768. I'm also using Deadline as my Scheduler and Interactive as my Governor (with a few extra tweaks under the Governor Control options).

                            Hope this helps.

Firstly I want to thank all people within this thread for your efforts to improve the use of m9 pro and certainly thank Randy for his great work and support with this rom.

I have flashed both kasty 4.4.2 and riley and between them i preferred riley. Due to the fact of the lower cpu clock (1,4) with the KK roms and the couple of minor issues (keyboard flickering, power button) i changed over the last 5 days to finless 1.5 waiting to see if something new comes up to correct this issue and it seems now that with the new kernel this is resolved so i am going to try this asap as i really liked the KK smoothness which now should be even better. However i agree with EDIUS that the new chinese rom by PIPO could be of interest and may be worth trying some experimenting.

I would also like to report that with the riley 2.6 rom gps worked and everything is great apart from the fact that some times the power button when waking up the tablet is acting up and i need a few presses to activate it and also in few apps (full screen) the virtual keyboard flickers left and right...If these things were resolved then i guess we would have the absolutely perfect rom.

                              Thank you all

                                Hello

My M9pro @ 10% charge, turned it off and had its charger connected... seen its animation charging, after 2 hrs I came back to check it and pressed the power button and there is no response, pressed it long too open it and still the same. Tried the reset button, connected it to the pc, pressed the combo power+esc while connected to the pc, the I pressed the reset while pressing both power and esc... still nothing. Any remedy for this?
