Noderat, you have the following steps to setup 5.1 with the s89 standard.- [*=left]How do I get 5.1 Surround Sound audio?
- [*=left]Navigate to XBMC Settings.
[*=left]Navigate to System.
[*=left]Change your Settings Level to Expert.
[*=left]Navigate to Audio output.
[*=left]Set Number of Channels to 5.1
[*=left]Set Keep audio device alive as you like. (This will keep your AVR from turning on and off when there is no sound playing in XBMC.
[*=left]Make sure Enable passthrough is selected.
[*=left]Enable Dolby Digital (AC3) capable receiver
[*=left]Enable DTS capable receiver.
[*=left]Exit out of settings and enjoy your 5.1 surround sound!
- [*=left]Navigate to XBMC Settings.
Do you recommend any different if we have the s89-h with a DTS/DD5.1 capable receiver?

(the possibility of the -H only describe the possibility to downsize/-mix DD/DTS to stereo (if you need it) at a special hardware section at the SoC)RK3288 Devices

completely turn off Red Light
I've just bought this great device (S89-H) but I have a tough question guys: is there a method to deactivate the red light when the device is in standby mode? I don't want lights on when I don't use it and completely shut down it by physical button for 10 second is uncomfortable! Thank you!

Hello Pros!
I've got two lame questions:
1) ROM i a must ? or for normal usage orginal firmware will be good (I'll only use it for watching movies and aplication like netflix or other streaming via xbmc.
I have never ROMing my smartphone or other devices and I'm a little worry to not destroy my VEGA s89h
2) Is it posible to record any streaming from xbmc ? If yes what is needed ?
Please be emollient for me

[QUOTE=lysos;232373]... I'll only use it for watching movies and aplication like netflix .../QUOTE]
Because of DRM problems with Netflix I think it is better to use the new 109k4, because I think it will be a little bit better, BUT you will never get HD (maybe with later rom versions)...RK3288 Devices
