    I have similiar question in addition to above..
    When I put the device to standby (by using the remote control red power button), it goes to standby with Red LED . I can switch it on again by pressing the remote control power button.

    However, if the device ocassionally flash blue light for a few seconds during standby, once this happened, I no longer can wake up the device by using the remote control. I have to press the main power button at the back of the box to wake it up.

    I am using the latest 102k firmware. Anybody have similar problem ?

    Thanks.
    Yea this is very common. It because the unit wakes up to do somthing (on a timer). I suspect its because its trying to sync. Disable the sync of google account and see if it stil does it? PM me if it works (the flashing led prob).

    Regarding the freeze while sleeping - this is also very common. There is a solution in the meantime that seems to work. Enable debugging and select the Screen always on setting. (See the thread one level back)

            device reboots when playing

            when playing asphalt 8 the device (elite version) reboots after few minutes of racing. it's possible that the issue is related to 1.2 ROM version itself or it's a hardware fault? Can someone test it please?

              Nubie - not wanting to brick my S89 on first attempt to upgrade firmware;
              so - using the SD card method, at what stage do I remove the toothpick from the reset-hole?

                  Pity he said with the SD Card

                  Remove it once you see the initial graphics on the screen, you should then see the android guy on his side 20 seconds or so later.

                    Oh yea sorry... dangerous method. But its impossible to hard brick. I had to resort to bootable SDcard & pin shorting once when I buggered my booltloader & recovery.

                        Yea, I followed your thread fervently until you guys eventually got it unbricked. The whole recovery is still not very precise with the tool bombing out during boot flashing?
                        (I might have purposely bricked mine lol )
