My vega s89 standard , keeps turning on /off by it self?

Is there a way to stop this?

Ie red/standby then blue light for a few seconds, then red again

and it randomly repeats?

i have just ordered the s89. What do you guys suggest? to use the preinstalled XBMC or uninstall it and use another version? It seems that most addons will be incompatible with this newer preinstalled XBMC version??

This happens to my S89 elite, and I've read a couple other guys posts where this happens as well.
Ie; while in standby the red light is normally on, but occasionally the blue light comes on. I'm assuming this will likely change with future ROM upgrades.

I know that this effect was discussed at the forum, but don't know if there is a sulution...

The blue light flashing while in standby is because the unit momentarilly wakes up to sync.
You can try :
- disable sync in your google account
- disable automatic app updates in google store
- Make sure you don't have any apps installed that wakes the system (try clean install - finless new 1.4 rom in sticky).

...it really is a shame i cant get paid apps on finless 1.3, but it looks like that's the only real problem thats different from 1014k as far as i can tell. That and the occasional systemui FC. my solution is to buy the app i need on my phone, and then find it in the store on the s89

Hi cuezaireekaa, can you elaborate a little more on this one? I'm also using Finless 1.3 because the exact same problem you have. I can find the paid apps on the Google Play and they actually download fine, the error occurs during the installation stage.

Does anyone know if the problem (which I think I read somewere was related to folder permissions) can be solved by patching or something similar not involving the installation of any 101k4 ROM?

Hi,

I have similiar question in addition to above..
When I put the device to standby (by using the remote control red power button), it goes to standby with Red LED . I can switch it on again by pressing the remote control power button.

However, if the device ocassionally flash blue light for a few seconds during standby, once this happened, I no longer can wake up the device by using the remote control. I have to press the main power button at the back of the box to wake it up.

I am using the latest 102k firmware. Anybody have similar problem ?
