Great job as usual Bob. Only app that I have a problem with so far is Facebook which keeps force closing, anybody else have a problem? Worked fine for me on 2.0. I tried installing from an ES File Explorer backup and also from Play Store but got FCs from both.

It's working fine on mine. I had a similar problem with Dropbox. Try going to settings. Manage Applications. Find Facebook in downloaded and click clear data. Then try running it again.

Issue when restoring from backup

First off great work again Bob!

but i am having an issues restoring from backup - it says that the restore was completed and you reboot and the tab is just blank - cant get it to boot at all

i think its creating Dodgy images


The only way i can get into the tablet is by reflashing anyone else found this at all?
is it something i am doing wrong?

Also Bob is there a way to have different builds working with cwm? like 1.5 and 1.4 build and 2.0 so i can restoreinto any version depending on what i need to do (3g stick drivers work on earlier roms?)

Edit - found the SD card was corrupt causing the image to fail - suggest you do a check disk on sd card before restore!

Have also noticed that the app injector is not injecting some of my apps - have asked petrus and he thinks it may be to do with the libs ? any idea Bob?

Quick question: Google earth does not seem to work (force close). Do others have the same issue?

Right I've loaded it and it runs...but did not find my location till I installed google maps...but does not fc..but zooming in makes the map cloudy white mess with road names only standing out..But messed with layers and it's ok now..
Update..no its not..soon as I select roads in layers then I get the white mess

i have this same issue, BUT....it did start to appear with 2.0d just a few days ago. i have tried flash 10.3 and flash 11, nether will bring the picture to life. ive yet to try any other flash site to see if its global...

update, youtube player works fine and itv player ( a similar flash based player) are both fine, so it looks like an app problem - not surprising as the quality of the bbc app has always been pretty dreadful.you can however still visit the site via the browser and watch the flash videos from there

I also have the same problem with BBC iplayer in 2.1 it was the same in 2.0.

Hi Bob,

Flashed 2.1 and I must say , wow . Feels like I have a new tablet. everything works , feels faster.
The touch screen behaves much better, scrolling is smooth. I even have the feeling some applications work better ,for instance ComicReader shows all the front pages of the books, with 1.5 some had a red stop sign iso the front page for some books.
Wonderful work. Congrats to everyone who participated . Job well done!!

After flashing I had 2 widgets on the screen without icon, black box saying it couldn't load the icon. I dropped them in the wastebasket, do not know what they where. Do you have an idea?

Actually its comicRack thats behaving better , comicReader does not work, the screen is garbled (seems to show random memory, previously shown pictures etc) , this was with 1.5 also but worked with the stock rom.

In 2.1 I updated Google Earth to the latest version being supplied by Google. It no longer force closes on APP injection. The older version did. But this issue you are seeing is probably in the latest google earth? They seem to update Google Earth like once a damn week!

One way to test.
1) Go into manage APPs and clear the cache on Google Earth and Google Streets
2) Uninstall Google Earth and Google Streets
3) Reboot
4) Go to Google Play Store and download and install it fresh.

See if that solves it.

I have had no problems with Google earth or maps, at all. I didn't inject them though, I downloaded fresh from the market.

Right. Earth was running in compatibility mode, hence the small screen.

Dolphin for me over the last few updates has gotten really SLOW... not sure what the heck they are doing. I wish I had kept an older version. But I use Opera browser mostly now. NOT the mobile Opera but the full one.
