Wish List for MTK Tablet ROM's

If this is a backup of your device, please understand that if you are running Jellybean....I can't just create a KitKat or Lollipop from it. The kernel has to be compiled from Lollipop sources specifically for that device.

Thanks for your prompt response. But i have some concern about Mobile network. After seeing the screenshot i don't see any call icon. I really need the call facility. Do you think ROM includes the 3G facility?

I'm really having trouble with these Cube ROM's lately. It appears that Cube doesn't want ANYONE messing around with their firmware. I will see what I can do.

Hi all... new guy here and hope you can help me out for a custom rom for the Cube Talk7X U55GT-C8 This is the octacore version of the Talk7X

Here is the info I can find about the Tablet/Phablet

I have been searching a lot for custom roms for this device but until now no luck. Thanks in advance for the effort.

I see there was already a request for this phablet (http://freaktab.com/forum/mtk-based-...096#post346096 and http://freaktab.com/forum/mtk-based-...275#post395275) but no answer on that request....

Annoyances for the stock rom:
- default Chinese apps, some cant be de-installed
- starters for applications that are on SD are gone every time the tablet is shut down/rebooted.
- only 2 pages for home screen. I can' t find an option to add more pages
- multi user is not supported, would be great if it could be added.

If you can brew a new rom for KK that would be great. If you can get it to Android5.x it would be awesome..

Version is 1.03 and is C6r3. Or can your rom with version 1.01 flash into 1.03?

Building a complete ROM from source code requires a system setup that I have not done on my ROM machine.

I will take a look at the sources and see what I can do with them, but I'm more accustomed to working directly from factory firmware. It's much easier to make adjustments in an already compiled ROM.

The ability to add certain features like 3G, on a device not previously equipped with 3G isn't something I'm familiar with doing.

I don't know of anyone on Freaktab actually compiling MTK kernels from source, but if someone has in interest in doing it, I can support them with what I know about custom ROM cooking.

About making phone calls from your S6000, I'm not sure it's possible without some major tweaking.

So you are saying that also not possible to make a ROM from open source right rather than calling activity. Am I right ?

Hi, in previous page I have written something about my tab s6000 lenovo and that time you said I can t do anything because of unavailability of source code of this tablet and I said there is open source of this tab but the thing is not a new ROM for me now I just want to know that is there any possibility to make a phone call for this tab just as a easy way due to make a ROM ?
