Wish List for MTK Tablet ROM's

This is a sticky topic.

Shaun, if you want to also support the 610, that's fine.
If I do a ROM, I would prefer to use a complete ROM dump (using MKT Droid Tools) that contains all of the firmware files. But I don't think I would be able to port KK to it without complete stock KK firmware.
I can only do a rooted JB ROM with alternative user app space sizes and a CWM Recovery (maybe).

FYI... I've got, what I believe to be, a fully working TWRP that I am currently testing and will likely release soon... I am also attempting to compile OmniRom and testing porting ROMs from similar tablets with the hope of getting the FM radio and Satellite GPS features working on this model.
To the best of my knowledge, the RCT6103W46, is nearly the same thing. I think it is also a MediaTek MT8127 but came with a bluetooth keyboard case.
Also, there was another even earlier model. I don't know the model number, but I believe it came with a corded usb keyboard case. If I remember correctly, that model had a RockChip RK3188T in it.

The 610 has a crappy little wall charger, but it charges faster than the standard usb charger does on the 620. charging via my computer is very slow when the tablet is turned on.
The number of differences in the hardware itself makes me think that there is more of a difference between the two tablets than we think.

yeah, saw that, but he's likely working on the 620 model. I've got the 610, and there are a few differences, the OTA upgrade to kitkat being one of them. the 620 gets it, while the 610 does not.

I'm pretty sure Shaunmt is working on a ROM for this tablet. He has one and is testing things right now.

It's a little more involved than just swapping the firmware. You need the specific firmware for your device. If you can find a link to the factory firmware...or make a ROM dump with MTK Droid Tools, I can take a look.

Voyo x7 Custom ROM
Hi!
I wish there will be available a custom ROM for
Brand: VOYO x7 3G
Screen 8" IPS 10 Point Touch Capacitive Screen
Resolution 1280x800 pixels
CPU MTK8392 Octa Core, 1.7GHz
GPU PowerVR SGX544 MP
RAM 2GB DDR3
ROM(Nand Flash) 16GB
Webcam Dual Camera Front 2.0MP + Back 8.0MP
Wireless Wifi 802.11 b/g/n
2G GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz
3G WCDMA 2100MHz
Bluetooth, GPS
The tablet is rooted, but the main problem is that internal partition for apps is only 1GB large,
so with a few apps is almost full, and cannot install other applications (moved all that can be moved to internal storage) although the tablet has 16GB + 32 GB microSD card
Maybe a ROM from CUBE talk 9x u65gt can be modified (it shares the same SoC i guess, on some versions with a Turbo update of the CPU...2Ghz instead of 1.7, I am not sure)

Brian has been busy...so I will try to match his standards and offer a RileyROM for your Cube.
I've downloaded the firmware and will provide ROM. Stay Tuned...it may be tomorrow before I can finish it.
