One more question

When i put the box to sleep while using xbmc the clock speed stays at 1,2 Ghz (Performance Statistics show 72 % 1.2 Ghz over night). Without XBMC or any other app running, the box clocks down to 300 Mhz and stays there as long it is in sleep mode. Is this normal behaviour or do we need to search for a fix ?

Hey Rebootix, never did a test like this. Very cool information!! Thank you for this. Perhaps something wrong in kernel config. There are so many options, don't know what's the reason for this. Do you have any idea? Perhaps we could ask wasser or d33 what's the reason for that, what do you think?

recovery - another story

Hi, Walter...really thank you very much for kernel for my remote controller.

Today i will try install DSP manager (audio improvements and equaliser) this app i downloaded from XDA, its flashable zip. After restart to recovery see 2 problems, screen is too zoomed my tv support only 1024x720, second problem I can't remote recovery by wirelless mouse also cant with remote controller.

please, any suggestions?

After restart to recovery see 2 problems, screen is too zoomed my tv support only 1024x720, second problem I can't remote recovery by wirelless mouse also cant with remote controller.

I never used recovery mode. It's the stock recovery. Just tried it yesterday and had no problems controlling it with my stock remote. Sorry, can't help you with that and i never would use such an apk ;-)

Sure i can cook a 720p kernel set. Don't forget to set lcd density insiide build.prop to 160 before flashing 720p kernel.

UI fluidity is very smooth on my box set cpu to interactive and cfg.

Hello everyone,

First of all my thanks to Walter77 and the people who helped for making PureXBMC I like it alot. I've read this thread and the previous one about version 1.

I myself have a CX-921 box (SKU164073) and the stock software was just crappy in my eyes, so I went looking for other software.
The main use is XBMC so when I found PureXBMC I found what I was looking for.

However I had not ever flashed a device in my life and after reading about the different versions of the RK3188 chip I was convinced I have a RK3188T.

But then I read on the 2^nd page of the v.1 thread about the SKU's and found that I have 164073. this gave me enough confidence to flash my device as described on the first page and I did.

It booted once and worked, on the second boot it gave me the penguins and and nothing else. Then I flashed it with the version of the 3^th page (post 42) and it worked perfectly, except for the sleep option.

After that I read that there is also a version 2 (with sleep mode) and I flashed that one on my device. Now everything seems to work fine except for the LAN, it does get an IP but that is all, can't go Internet browsing nor does it download updates untill I connect the box with Wlan. Wireless does work fine (or so it appears). I would like to use it for streaming video's, I tried with WLAN but it just sucks.

Now this is my question: is this version simply not compatible with my device? I've read that this version is for not as many different boxes as the previous version. Or could it be something else?
