Ha! I think I got it fixed Tattman!!!!!!
It was a major beoch..... I had to take apart the old ROM, deodex the TTSCalibration APK, rebuild it for this framework, and BAM.... It comes up now on first boot. It will NOT calibrate on my capacitive screen (it fails but it does go through the motions) but I am hoping it will work for you guys.
I will have a BETA ROM for you to test in about an hour.

OK so I cant seem to force calibration on boot YET! I will work on that.
But before I do I want to see if it even works. It's going to take some work from you guys to test the initial go. Damn I wish I had a resistive screen model but with your guys help, I think I can fix it.
So do you have a USB mouse? You will need for this test so be ready with one. You will use it to first launch the calibration tool. Once that is launched you will calibrate and the mouse should not be needed anymore.
I will give instructions when I upload the TEST ROM.

I am currently at the tattoo shop right now not sure how busy ill be today and not really able to flash my tablet here, ithink I have a USB mouse at home but it has a full size USB plug it was for a laptop. We'll figure something out Bob.freaktab art developer

OK I was able to force calibration now. Again it does NOT work on my screen but it does run.
BUT I see why Arnova took out the lock screen from thier ROMs!!!!!! It blocks calibration until the screen is unlocked. So you need a USB mouse to unlock the screen. Once unlocked the the calibration screen will be up. Use it to calibrate your screen. Then you can unplug the mouse.
So follow these instructions to the letter!
1) Flash the ROM as usual
2) On boot the CWM screen will appear. Select Reboot now.
3) Let the system boot up and it will come to the desktop (not the lock screen). Now let it settle down. You will see messages at the bottom. Wait at least 2 minutes for it to settle down.
If you get the calibration screen DO NOT USE IT YET! You may also see it pop up for a second and then force close.
4) Reboot using the reset pin hole
5) On bootup you will be at the lock screen. You might try seeing if you can get it unlocked with your finger by playing around. If not plug in a USB mouse. You will see a little red mouse pointer. Use it to slide the unlock button all the way outside the circle.
6) The screen will unlock and you should be right at the calibration routine! Use your finger to calibrate the screen.
7) If it works you will know it. Unplug the mouse now. See if the screen works now.
God... I hope this works!
If the screen calibrates then we are on the right track. I will then work to see if I can get it to work on first boot like it should.

I have an Arnova 10b g2 capacitive and after several "boot" and reboot, with and without sd card, I finally got something stable. Like you, I have not a calibration screen but it does run.He made only a few bugs (the screen was cut in half) with "Aldiko ebook reader", I have then removed the SD card and returned to the factory defaults. I rebooted several times and also erase the nand too(without external sd card).
Now it works like i would

Aldiko book reader is a screwy APP. It is not stable in my opinion. Several people reported similar problems at first with Aldiko on the 10G2 2.1 ROM. I am not clear why on first boot and run of Alidko it has problems. But most people including myself found that after uninstalling it and reinstalling it, it MAGICALLY starts working again.
I was never able to figure out why Aldiko has this problem on this ROM or what exaclty fixed it to work.

Not sure when I'll get home to right Bob but as soon as im able ill flash my tablet and we can see what happens as long as I can get a mouse to plug into the USB does anyone else have a idea on getting a mouse to plug into. Lets see how orionkb fares with the new ROM. I am hoping you can unlock the screen by playing around with your finger. It seems he has been able to do some manipulation of the screen so it seems it is possible.
By the time you are home I may figure out how to get the calibration to come up on first boot. I am trying anyway and hoping I can.
