great ROM

Just got my elite box today to replace my MINIX neo x5. So far I'm loving 1.6 its awesome stable fast also Netflix looks great idk if its HD but looks 100 times better then on the MINIX neo x5 only problem so far is Ethernet is slower than wifi

I will try this ROM on one of my s89-H's shortly...

At minimum I think you would loose DTS/DD native support, at worst the box won't boot !! I don't believe this is intended for a H variant...

104K4 version FW is compatible with S802 S802-B & S802-H (S89-H). So should work fine

I know there exist I thread here at the board where some guy had enabled this settings at s802 (but of cause without function)...

Yep, it could be the reason.

So there is other "official" rom maker?
I thouth original firmware was created by Beelink / Oman, and customize by Tronsmart....

Tried this Rom and my highest temperature reading went up to 167F. I already had modded the s89 with holes and a small pc fan. Before with Rom 1.5, highest temperature reading was 132F. So I reinstalled Rom 1.5 and highest temperature reading is back to 132F. Could be that with Rom 1.6 all four cores are active most of the time and with Rom 1.5 that is not the case and only the needed cores are active depending on the activity. This is probably why I see more temperature fluctuation with Rom 1.5 then Rom 1.6. With Rom 1.6 temperature would stay at 167F while watching a movie and with Rom 1.5 it would fluctuate between 116 and 122F. Also can anyone tell me the difference between Antutu X benchmark and Antutu benchmark? The reason I ask is, because I tried both and with Antutu X I get scores in the 22000/23000s and with Antutu the scores are in the 31000s. One of the reasons given by Antutu is that Antutu X would prevent benchmark cheating/fraud by the manufacturers. I really don't know if this is the case with Tronsmart S89. I am new to all this and trying to learn so be patient with me.

It might be beneficial to ask for a cpu fix with slighly lowered max freq. and interactive gov .. if that is not default anyway. IMO this is a very balanced gov which I personally prefer over ondemand.

If you did not use my CPU fix the CPU and governor has not changes. 96 low 1992 high hotplug.

However the release notes for 104K4 say they did something for CPU temp control. So maybe that's why the higher settings.

I can easily make it not erase but I would expect problems when going with my ROM from the stock ROM due to build.prop changes and other things. Another reason I have been doing this so far is because the flash tool erases and the new ZIP 104K4 erases. So I figured Beelink wanted it that way. Again I can make it so it does not erase. If I do then if there are problem you will need to do a factory reset.

I do not think this will work on the -H because beelink has released 2 different versions. I will work on the -H ROM soon as my -H box just arrived.

Finally, this was done by Oman's team at Beelink. What makes you think it wasn't?

OK, my mistake ! because of name of stock rom 104K4K (tronsmart, not beelink)... but I just see this rom is available on Beelink website.

Yes have everything in place now. Will soon go through a test and tweak stage before doing something major like this. I will be releasing kernel is OTA form (update.zip) that just replace the kernel without touching other components in the FW.
