looks like i got a few options to try

I'll just hang out, do a little testing and while I wait for the next Finless to try.

just for the record, im getting 55 to 70 C roughly, with latest Finless. Same as I got with 1.5 with CPU control. No heat sink, chassis mod yet. Might have been a little higher with 1.5?

Thanks for this quick 1.6 ROM!

Thanks for quickly making this ROM update with same changes on a new base stock ROM!

guys I have the -h and connected to my sony dts-hd capable receiver. I can confirm that with the stock 4k video player and android video player dts is not hardware decoded. I have yet to try MX player. Also, DTS-HD passthrough through xbmc is not working as per geekbuying. I have enabled the options and I can only see the AC3 capable receiver and DTS capable receiver option. It does play the DTS audio though. I am using the latest gotham 13.1 release candidate. On previous xbmc versions i remember seeing DTS-HD capable receiver option. Have they removed the DTS-HD passthrough capability on the latest Gotham version? I very much doubt it! Can someone shed some light into this please? While playing the video in XBMC and go to audio options it does recognise the DTS-HD as audio upstream but it only passes through DTS to my receiver.

edit: MAYBE THE FIRMWARE IS TO BLAME BECAUSE THIS IS THE -H VERSION?I haven't tried with the stock firmware that came with the box as I have flashed Bob's firmware immediately

          Whoooow!!

Hahahaaa, this ROM is great. Blazing fast!

I've installed 1.5 before but is was stil a little laggy and Netflix din't work well. But this one is really great!
          Fast, fluid. Netflix OK.

          I've installed it on my 4K Mbox. 8GB S802

          Thanks!

          Regards David.

Not sure if you are already doing this but set the DTS capable etc buttons first before enabling pass through.

              swapping ROMs just to easy

Been testing Bob's ROMs and stock ROMs for S802-H and it is so easy, I don't have to get off the couch. I do a backup with the stock update app, and it stores it on the micro SD card. I download the zipped ROM right from this S802-H, then I save the decompressed files (still zipped) to the micro SD card. After I update the ROM it ask if I want to restore my backup. Almost everything was back to the way it was. Even XBMC restored perfectly with all my modifications intact. I love it.
              Thanks again, Bob

Thanks Bob for a great ROM!

2 things that I wish 105k4 should fix/add; 1. Able to shutdown the system so I don't have to take out plug everytime. 2. My external HDD is lit even the box is not on.

Not possible in a ROM. The USB power buss is shared with the power plug! This can never happen due to hardware.

Will it cause any problem to HDD?

Nobody knows... it depends on so many factors...
My HDD are always on (e.g. also at NB, SAT receiver...)...
Maybe it is more worth to spin up and down the HDD often (e.g. knowing problem at some WD) than it runs ongoing...

bob needs a vacation away from his pc, cell, and box(s). 1.6 appears to be as stable as it gets (for pooly developed android boxs) until 105k4 and further kernel tweaking (which lokie seems to be working hard on). i for sure will be donating once i get my finances in order to oman lokie and bob. great work!!! bob i do have a few questions about ART runtime. first are you using ART? and second, ive noticed android converts all apps (not just recently installed and updated apps) from dalvik to ART on every boot. is this due to your init.rc and can this be remedied?

How about sending the Sleep/Spin down command to the HDD, it may not be powered off completely but it's as good as.

PS the box may already be doing this, as I do not have a HDD connected

I know you can do this over SATA and ESATA but I did not think that is possible over USB?

I will look into that. interesting thought.
