Is this device now finalised? Last I checked people were talking about Rockchip doing redesigns to fix HDMI issues.

Rockchip already released new firmware updates to address the HDMI issues.

I get a lot of random reboots. It is sometimes while using an external hard drive, trying any emulator to play ROMs, while running XBMC/SPMC, etc. Is it overheating or is the power adapter not able to supply enough power to sustain the device operations?

Power adaptor is 3A, has enough power to power external harddrive.
Maybe see if my new custom ROM with 12/11/14 firmware works better, later this weekend.

            Well that's a problem then. I got a 2A output power adapter.

            Says Output 5V 2A.

I guess I need to msg Tina or Candy.

I have 5V 6A USB charger with me? Can I use it with it or will it fry the device?

Only if there exist a short circuit because the device only takes the power from the PSU that it needs BUT I wouldn't never power the device via USB...
At another device with also a 3A PSU I had also problems with an external 2.5" HDD, I fixed it by using an active (powered) HUB...

I just checked again to make sure and I definitely have a 3A power adapter.
                It says 5V 3A Max.
A 2A won't have enough power for an external hard drive or intense CPU/GPU usage.

I remember with my RK3188 device that came with a 2A power adapter, it gave me lots of reboots and freezes until I bought a new 3A power adapter for it.

The 3A power adapter I bought has EMI and other electric resistance, the long wire is 2 wires that are twisted and against each other. Also it feels about 3 times heavier than the 3A one that came with my HPH RK3288 that consists of a single long wire.

I know there are also AMLogic boxes that have similar freeze problems and replacing the power adapters fixed the issue.

Maybe they use 2A power adapters now to save costs or ran out of 3A adapters.

It's a 99% chance that is your problem.
i couldn't quite understand why everyone has stability issues and my setup runs great for hours without any problems, know I know.

@mo123 You speak the truth, Beelink also ships the wrong power adapters. This causes application crashes and the like with undesired results. 2 amp adapters won't cut it if you are even using an external powered USB Hard drives or CPU intensive tasks.

Is HDMI audio passthrough working for anyone in XBMC/SPMC? I tried the audio settings in android as well as in XBMC. I only get 2.0 sound to my audio video receiver.

Are you using the modded Kodi with Pass-through support?

Maybe the fix can be included in HPH Roms.

                              Hey guys,

I can't decide. I'm choosing between the Ugoos u3ts or this the hph. Anybody have any experience with both that can weigh the pros and cons? I really like the design and the fact the Ugoos has a fan but the hph sounds phenomenal.
