sadly no. merrick made a change, but i cannot seem to push it.

Even if the tab is rooted (which is needed anyway to dump from windows) I can use it. So if someone dumps this I can make a package.

What is really needed is a dump of backup.img as long as the tablet has never been flashed! Backup.img will be a full stock ROM.

Finless, on page 3 of this thread, there is a change merrick made. would it be possible for you to incorporate that change into an updated version of the rom?

Then I made a copy of qwerty.idc in /system/usr/idc and named it ft5x0x-ts.idc. then change the touch.orientationAware = 0 in that file.

and changed ro.sf.hwrotation=270 in build.prop

While I could apply this to a ROM, without a ROM I cannot make any changes like this. So bottom line we need someone to make a ROM dump.

I'm missing something. this change was applied to your rooted rom, after the fact. merrick was able to flash your rom then pushed this change with adb. I cannot get adb to recognize my tablet for some reason.

Bob, the ROM I'm using is yours. No stock rom at the moment. The change I made basically just stuck the touchscreen in landscape mode so the tablet is usable in that mode only as far as lining up the ts with the screen. It does fail if a program forces the screen into portrait mode however.

I'm currently attempting to write a script/program in linux that will have all the tools needed to pull a rom, unpack it??, flash it etc.. kinda like the rk29 program in win. but with the option of pulling a rom from a stock unit or modded one. not sure if the installing of rkdump will work on a stock rom though without root.

Something to do in the mean time while awaiting someone to pop out a stock rom dump..

I may have a new unit next week sometime when a buddy gets back in town. I'll pull the stock rom off of it as soon as it comes out of the box.

No And now i see that that is hard to get it :/

I feel that this rom is "laggy" even doing the most simple things...

If after installing the ROM your screen is not inverted 180 degrees then you have the slightly older 10P12 with different hardware. If that is the case, try the JB rom which SHOULD work for you on XDA.
