I ordered the MK902 II (with the new procc RK3288 and 4K support) will you be making any roms for this model aswell smic? I just cant switch to a Minix, i love the MK902 to much.

Just make sure you hold your expectations for the Mk902 II in check and read their forum. While it can play 4K files, the output right now is just upscaled 1080p. No one knows if it'll be capable of 4k 60hz output without a hardware change.

Maybe they'll enable true 4K output in the future via firmware update, but I am waiting for proof. Remember the playback issues when the RK3188 first came out.

Don't take my word for it, read the Rk3288 updates on this site. I check them every day to see what's working.

But how is it upscaled it should Be capable of it spec wise. But their own software is shyt. Like the mk902 '1080p' but it was only 720 out of the box -.- why they are so bad with this.. I love their boxes though quality and build wise (with smics rom ofc)

Ya lot of hardware changes so anyone buying now is test box nothing more i think they release in mid septemebr with all the builds done. they make same mistake every dumb company make and rush to market. Not smart even bob told them same.

i just tested the old v1 firmware in 720p on my mk802iv second generation and i can say that it works like a charm.

Just one small problem now that im using the firmware, i cant enable the location services, it doesnt allow me to turn it on its just greyed out. what can i do about this????

Sorry I do not see a V2 720p Rom, for 720p should I use V1?

Yes the initial set up for the box, it usually starts after you install the new firmware
