    Cube Talk 9x U65GT ROM based on Cube's V 1.8 firmware of 4 July 2014

    Here's a lightly reworked ROM based on Cube's U65GT V1.8 firmware of 04 July 2014.

I've posted a reworked frimware based on cubes 1.8 firmware of 6 Aug 2014 at

    http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...-2014&p=218865

    ROM Download

    So what do you get?
    • UK English by default
    • Root
    • Removal of Chinese apps
    • init.d support with busybox integration
    • option of CWM recovery built with rua1's MTK Droid Root Tool, also included is Lepi's TWRP recoveries
    • auto install feature:- if you create an autoinstall folder on your sdcard containing any default apks they will install on first boot. I tend to be sparing in this just loading my preferred file browser, terminal emulator and titanium backup.
I've included instructions within the download for flashing both the full ROM (required if you are changing from Cube's earlier firmware) or flashing just boot and system (ANDROID).

Hope this is of some use.

    Brian

PS Lepi pointed out to me that its easy to boot into recovery as follows. First power off the U65GT, it vibrates when shut down completes. Press and hold power for about a second then press and hold vol+ until a menu displays (its small in white). Scroll through the menu options with vol+ and select with vol-

CWM zip fix for read only external sd card. Download and put onto the sdcard (internal or external), reboot to recovery and update.

    extsdcardfix.zip

CWM zip for 6 Gig apps space

    partition_6gGIG.zip

Lepi has uploaded an updateda TWRP Recovery links in the following quote

Brian, thanks for the modified firmware. Downloading.
I'm sorry I forgot to warn that TWRP been updated from 07/05/2014. It once again eliminated interface errors.

Please use another recovery example, CWM recovery built with rua1's. I did not ask Brian include my TWRP in firmware.

I asked users to write errors that are seen. No one has ever written. Ask specifically describe what you did not like in the recovery. I'll be treated if my product is sick.

My recovery on my tablet is working properly.
              Sorry.

                Sorry Lepi

I should have checked with you first. I'd put your recoveries in my ROM folder and tested. Forgot to pull them before zipping and uploading. I couldn't face waiting another hour or two to re upload so left them in.

Maybe they should not be imposed my recovery to the users? They can download TWRP separately. Until now, no one has written about possible errors.
Solve itself, I just advise. Thank you.

Brian. Explain what Gig apps space. I do not understand as divided memory partitions?
Maybe directly in the firmware download EBR2_6GIG and EBR1_6GIG noted in the check-boxes FlashTool. What benefit of this memory markup?
                      sorry.

Internal storage on the settings, storage option. Default is 2GB, I normally find I quickly get users that fill this space, so reallocated 4 GB from the internal sdcard.
