Easiest way is to downloaded my ROM from the first post. It's a lightly reworked version of 1.8

      Please upload a video tutorial!

hi guys, came here from xdadevelopers site, ever since reading 900supersport's first review i was convinced to buying the tablet! Now it finally came and its just awesome! i think its the best purchase ive made so far
but many of you are experinced with flashing but im feeling nervous to experiment with this! i've downloaded the files in the first post, read the instructions too but i would really really appreciate if someone could make a video tutorial and upload to youtube or something.. it would put us noobs much at ease haha..

also, i've noticed that there is no recovery_rua1_CWM.img, only two files - recovery.img and recovery_orig.img , Which one do i flash for CMW? Brian and Lepi, please comment on this if possible..

thanks a lot in advance! so glad to see this active community for the Cube talk 9x!

Perhaps I'm wrong or I don't have to use the tablet while charging time?
I have also been experiencing this with the supplied charger, but also with a possibly fake Samsung one. Not so with the slightly larger charger that came with Nexus 10. It seems that holding it in both hands helps - as in holding the metal back grounds it or something and the response becomes a lot better.

Also speaking of touch screen responsiveness - it's quite nice when using your fingers, but very hit and miss with a stylus (you need to apply quite a bit of pressure). The 1.8 update notes mention some improvements, haven't really tested yet, but hopefully it gets better over time.

Also, obviously, massive thanks to 900supersport for making the root enabled cleaned up firmware. You rock! Hopefully working chrome is not too far off.

also, need some help with regards to installing the drivers, how do i manually install them on windows 7? Brian and Lepi could you guys please help out?

and last bit, i've noticed that there is no recovery_rua1_CWM.img, only two files - recovery.img and recovery_orig. Which one do i flash?

Flashing is simple don't fret about it.

As regards drivers switch off the tab and connect via USB. Windows should detect and want to install drivers. I think you should have an option re manually selecting drivers.

A quick search on Google turns up

Obviously you do not need to remove the battery.

I was having trouble installing the drivers because no dialog popped up when I connected via USB, but thanks to your youtube link, I was instructed to go to Device Manager and look for "MT65xx Preloader" in order to manually install the drivers. Thanks for you help, and hopefully this will help others with the same problem.

Due to this thread, http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...g-a-Custom-ROM, I tried to root my tablet first to backup my IMEI number, but Root Genius failed, and the method on that thread failed, so I flashed the ROM from this thread, as it was the recommended way to root this tablet. Flashing this ROM will not cause me to lose my IMEI number, right?

Oh, I found the older thread now with some discussion of this: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...une-2014/page4
Flashing the ROM should not cause problems with IMEI; I didn't understand all of the discussion from the thread, though.

I've never lost the imei on flashing. I do have a copy of the imei in a safe place just in case.

I have seen this behavior from mine. Haven't really investigated it to see if there is an obvious solution.

                          CWM file check

Hi, Im waiting on mine from Banggood.com, and Im just reading through the installation instructions, the only part im a little bit unsure on is replacing the original recovery img with the CWM img. In the folder there are two files, one is called recovery.orig and the other is just called recovery, im sure it prob is , but is the one just labeled recovery the CWM img ?
                          Thank you
