Here's a CWM update to adjust the internal storage to 4GB, flash from CWM/TWRP recovery.

    partition_4GIG.zip

Please confirm this working if you flash it, I'm sticking with the 6 GIG

So far all the tools I have found for flashing are windows based. I suspect that mtkdroidtools uses adb to flash recovery so its possible with some research we may get somewhere.

        Thanks for your reply.
Please explore then I've looked on the web and it does seem to be a Windows program for the moment.

The basic problem seems to be to flash a suitable recovery.
Once one has one, it should be easy to flash more, shouldn't it?

        I have a Xiaomi Hongmi.
And there, it was very easy to flash a suitable recovery.
Cf: http://en.miui.com/thread-17437-1-1.html (and in French: http://miui-france.org/threads/hongm...ecovery.13025/)
Afterwards, I could easily flash other things using Linux or the phone recovery.
        (Cf. http://miui-france.org/threads/hongm...le-root.12097/, in French)

Maybe the Cube is better protected?
Or maybe it's just a question of packaging the right recovery?

(I may be completely wrong as I know little about this. If so excuse me.)

          impossible to upgrade the rom

My tablet is well recognized by windows 7 when switched on. I can have access to the files struture...

Unfortunately, when connected switched off, windows 7 try to load the driver (pre-loader...) but fails to find the drivers and i have no possibility to enter the path to the driver manually. So i can't use the flash tools after.

I have tried various solutions including remove of .inf files but nothing is working.

          any ideas ?

          Regards

Thank you for modding the ROM. Is Finnish language included in the original ROM?
My tablet hasn't arrived yet but I will immediately change the original ROM to this one when I get it.

Have you tried going into device manager and selecting the device and updating the driver from there, pointing to the drivers you have downloaded with the ROM image?

I have the same proble as pstriolo. When i power off the tablet and connect it to pc in device manager i see new device MT65xx com port for a few seconds and then it disappear (it looks like i disconnect the tablet). This goes ON and OFF for a few times and then it stops. I do not see this device in device manager. It seems like they have some kind of protection because the friend has the same problem. I got the tablet two days ago.

Has anyone idea what can i do because i would like to flash it.

                Help please?

Well, i have just succeed by using another computer under windows XP SP3 and not seven 32 bits.

In this case the system ask for an automatic installation but you can enter the path of the drivers. So now everything is ok and the rom is perfect.

                  Thanks.

I have also tried on WinXP SP3 but still the same problem. The tablet goes ON and OFF. On tablet display i see battery charging (at that moment in device manager on pc is tablet disconnected) another second the screen on tablet is black (in device manager the tablet is connected).

                    Any other idea?

Do you have usb debugging turned on in developer options?

                          compatibility issue

I got this tablet with the original 1.6 firmware version. Then I moved to the 1.8 mod.
I noticed that some app became incompatible with this device. Quickoffice is an example.
Did anyone notice the same issue?
                          Thanks

Quickoffice is running on my modded 1.8. I have quickoffice 6.3 installed.

                              Yes i have.
But this is not needed when tablet is turned OFF?
I saw in manual that i can use flash tool only when tablet is turned OFF.
