I put the apks I want you installing any time in set up a tab into an automatic install folder on the sdcard. First boot after flashing these will load in. If you don't know what init.d or busybox are then you probably don't need them.

Init.d will allow you to customise the startup process.

Busybox exposes a set of Linux commands that can be executed from a shell script or command prompt.

Battery reading seems consistently incorrect. It causes overdischarge, that is bad for long term battery life. Until cube (or someone else) corrects the battery reading, I would recommend not to run it with battery less than 15~20% (might be different for your device).

Speaking of battery - I did the "turn off at once when the low battery warning comes up and then charge to completion" trick twice and mine now seems to have calibrated itself properly.

But there's also a little issue of sorts - sometimes (I haven't done proper testing to see what exactly causes this) when I plug it in it would just show the red battery icon with a lighting bolt and kinda flash that image a couple of times, then the screen would go black. When I come back later it hasn't charged a bit and the charger is hot as hell. This was using the non-native charger (since it has a goofy non-EU plug and has the same output parameters as my Samsung charger). Anyone experienced this? Perhaps it has to do with the USB cable (but the one that comes with the tablet is a rather ugly gray one).

As to charging i find the supplied charger and cable best.

I'm using a 6 outlet usb charger bought from **** as the adapter on the supplied charger is reluctant to stay plugged in to an Australian outlet. It's capable of anything up to 4 Amps. I'm using for my phone, tablet and everything else usb. Most usb cables are not very good for charging tablets as the wires are quite thin and you get too much voltage drop across them. Again I am using cables bought on **** but actually specifying 26AWG wire and rated to 2A. This combination charges very reliably.

                                Screen fluency issues

Thanks Brian for your quick reply. I guess that stuff isn't for me right now lol, although I would like to learn more about it in the future.

Meanwhile though I'm facing one issue, it seems that scrolling isn't smooth when done through some apps, could it possibly because of the high resolution of the screen? And is there any way of improving this?
Last edited by virtual_ironman; 26 July 2014, 20:19. Reason: Homescreen and drawer scrolling is smooth now after getting rid of an app, I guess it was a temporary thing
