Cube Talk 9x U65GT ROM based on Cube's V 1.8 firmware of 4 July 2014

Hi guys, I've got a Talk 9X coming that should be here tomorrow After having some problems with my phone a while back I would like to be able to make a full backup of the stock ROM before I start flashing in case I run into any problems. Can the this ROM be backed up and rooted with "MTK Droid Root & Tools"? or can you recommend another way to backup the stock ROM? Also does anyone know if Vroot will work on the Talk X9?

vroot and root genius do not work.
I don't know how to do a backup of Nvram.bin (the only real important part)

You can root talk 9X with the original recovery,no need PC,no need driver.

it could be done also through Titanium backup (in this case it is necessary to be root)

Did you manage the tablet's kernel?
I would like to manage freq/voltage control in the kernel to perform a tuning of voltages and frequencies of the tablet, but till now I wasn't able to do this...

Unfortunately cube talk 9x is not supported by this app...

Thanks for all the info. Ill try MTK droid tools first, if i can get a root shell with Driod tools I can get a clean backup that can be flashed with SP Flash tools.

I know im being over cautious, but after the drama I had with my phone back when I was an Android noobie I'd like to have a copy of the clean ROM that was installed just incase it gets stuck in a nasty boot loop. Ill let you guys know how this goes.

This work on version 1.3,1.6 and 1.8,they have same chinese app.

So Im trying to backup with Droid toos or flash the recovery.img with SP flash tools.... But when I plug the tablet in and the power is off my PC detects the tablet, then drops the device, then detects, then drops. On my MTK phone holding Power and Vol - fixed this problem, but not on the 9X. Yes i have loaded the preloader drivers.

Any sugestion on how to fix this?

Any sugestion on how to get the TWRP recovery.img on? is it safe to flash the recovery while the device is on? Or Im thinking root then mobile uncle tools?

try going to device manager and manually installing the driver. That is what most of us have had to do.

This seems to me a USB cable issue,
if you can, try a different one.
